The Law of Conservation of Energy already counteracts the first law of thermodynamics, so the laws conflict. Given that the universe and infinite energy was created from nothing, the laws of physics change when nearing the end of the universe or the center of it when the universe contracts, if that does happen. Therefore, there is possibility for the thermodynamic law to break and the universe to reach an actual end and start again.
