Coke's Recipie has been stolen twice. Both times the robbers contacted Pepsi to try and sell it. Pepsi then contacted the FBI.

How many ******* times do I have to explain this **** :

The water they use in the bottle requires more processing because people care more about how it tastes, so they have to remove ******** more harmless minerals and the like and THEN they have to add more back in so it "tastes right" because otherwise ********* will complain that it "tastes like chemicals" when it's completely fine.

They don't have to do as much for soda because the sugar and flavoring covers all that. Seriously though, if they didn't do all that stupid unnecessary **** with the bottled water people wouldn't buy it anyways even if it was super cheap. If people weren't such idiots about it they wouldn't have to, but people are stupid so the companies have to deal with it as best they can.

What the flying **** ?
Thanks a lot you snooty *********** for making everything unnecessarily expensive
#149 to #7 - anon (10/30/2013) [-]
Then why is our water in Europe cheaper then Coca Cola? (and don't tell my it tastes like **** because we do have some common brands and they're still cheaper). And in Russia the difference is even bigger (still comparing the same brand of water). In Europe it doesn't have anything to do with import (there is a coca cola factory in my town).

I think it's also a matter of simple economics, supply and demand anyone? (please mind the also, I didn't say your reasoning is all wrong)

sounds interesting, not actually true though. In the Netherlands water ranges from 10 eurocents per bottle to about 3 euros per bottle. **** tastes exactly the same.

We get purified water from our taps which also tastes the same if not better. Damn sure the gvt is not making us pay 1.49 per 16 ounces for it, whatever the hell that means in more sensical measurement systems.

What's more important is paying for the ******* of advertizing and sponsoring they do, and dealing with the logistics of shipping water from their 'special source' to the rest of the world. Still they make ridiculous profits though.

Weird that they used NYC. Big city water tastes as good as bottled water. Well, considering NYC has some of the best tap water in the world I would expect so. Then there is LA, the worst water I have ever tried. Even then, use a cheap filter, bottled water is the dumbest successful idea ever.

Penn and Teller Bullsh*t! - Feng Shui _ Bottled Water (Full Episode).flv

Here's the full episode done by Penn & Teller on Feng Shui and bottled water.

And by the end people buy bottled water even though it says it's tap water in the small print, so when all boils down to it, it's not about fair pricing, it's about people being idiotic enough to pay these excruciatingly high prices for plain old water.
User avatar #121 to #72 - pokemonstheshiz (10/30/2013) [-]
Where I live, the tap water is of pretty poor quality. So bottled water is actually an upgrade, not to mention it's convenience.
#103 to #72 - anon (10/30/2013) [-]
You are hardly paying anything for the water itself...what you are paying for is the bottle and the convenience of having water wherever you go. You are paying for CONVENIENCE, not really the water, and that is the point people dont understand. Go ahead and get an empty bottle, fill it with tap water, and be on your merry ****** way, dont bitch about expensive water because its not. IT also depends on the brand of water, you are paying for a name and convenience. Also, a gallon of water is .99 cents at walmart. Dont forget that each place it goes through when being delivered, charges some delivery fee, so by the time it gets around a couple stops it costs more, by the time a store buys it, it costs more than it should, stores have to make a profit. THERE is more to it than being "fooled" into buying bottled water. Idk.

No, it's the Americans that cause Americans to develop their huge lard asses. You can't blame being fat on the big corporations, you just have to eat less. It says how much ******* sugars on the side of the bottle for God's sake, it's not that ******* hard.

Where I live in the UK a bottle of coca cola is about £1 and a litre bottle of water is like 80p and is often on offer for like 50p as they are awkward to carry cos they are bulky as **** so no one buys them

why are we not developing a better one?

By the way:

Facism has a better economy system,
the markets NEED to be guided by national entities,
only this way they are under control,
also at least we KNOW who is in power this way.

How do we overthrow a corporation?
