Reminds me of when I worked for a subset JC data center. Some new guy who "had 20 years experience as a MIS Admin" decided the best way to get a server rack with identity back ups down 2 levels to the server room was to put them on a pallet and slide it down the stairs using a rope. The server rack in question weighed at least 500 pounds. He lost control, got rope burn, let go, and 500 pounds of server costing over 250,000 dollars went down the solid concrete stairs, and lost a fight to a solid concrete wall.
The kicker? 2 Hallways over from where he was there was an elevator just for moving equipment, and he was TOLD about it when he was hired.
When people panic they do stupid **** .
Thats how i crushed my finger with a cropping machine, could have not crushed it if i didnt try to pull it out and pressed the red button instead.
