I'm Canadian and that's not only funny but sadly true . Trudeau and his pot smoking hippy mom are the wrong thing for this country right now

**cantdecideausernam rolled image**Meh Harper was too focused on an oil based economy anyways which was and is a big part of the problem right now. Hopefully Trudeau can shift that, and plus people who were educated when they voted for Trudeau knew that things would play out similar to this as the liberal idea seemed to be risky economy and deficits for a few years with the hope of longer term success after that.

Shift that by increasing the burden on the country with all the refugees?

Sure why not, again temporary measures for now they're refugees but eventually they could likely be taxpayers and members of the workforce. Plus 25,000 in an already existing population of 35 million that's not exactly a large burden.

Not like the oil-happy conservatives were doing any good.

Yep, gotta love hearing how "Harper fixed the economy" while we see a bunch of jobs cut, and I get to see one of my parents laid off.

Yeah.
Credit where credit's due though, he did do a pretty good job back in 2008, but that's 7 years ago and now we're in a new recession thanks to him.

Well that's what happens when people vote liberal.
Like really, do Canadians outside of Ontario know what the liberals are doing?!

It's too early to tell what he's really going to be like. What's driving the dollar down right now is not him, its ******* Saudi Arabia being dicks about oil.
The issue is that Harper focused WAY too much on the oil sands as Canada's only major contribution, and now that the oil price is down we're in a tough spot. Th loonie is down because the that old bastard focused too much on oil.
Get that **** out of here, man. He's been PM for like 2 months, do you expect action immediately?
Politics make me angry

Meh, the people voted. If they don't like it, they can always vote for someone else next time. Democracy and all that.

I don't expect people to understand the nature of Canadian democracy, but essentially it wasn't so much what we wanted as much as the lesser of all evils.

Like, our options were basically Hitler, Stalin, or Trudeau.

We chose Trudeau.

Well, thats just like, your opinion man.

In all seriousness he is a decent amount of good, and a decent amount of bad.

I voted for him due to his progressive justice policies as my field is criminology, and because Harper keeps ********** the military by uselessly changing rank structure and costing citizens money.
