It's because they use modular construction to build them, everything comes pre-fabricated, tiles and kitchen etc. its just bolted together on site, they can have an entire restaurant completed in about 48 hours but with hardcore quality supervision from McDonald's own guys.

Two in my area have been knocked down so they could build entirely new buildings. It isn't at all modular, but they've been pretty quick about it.

I've actually been lucky enough to get to see one because it wasn't modular. They're pretty damn good at building.

Odd. I could see that if all McDonalds were the same, but some are much nicer than others.

They probably just order from a company, they give X specifications and the company gets them done. That way they can have ones that look different and still have the same build efficiency
