This is based on an older stereotyping of Nvidia, AMD and Intel. AMD had massive problems with their drivers, although they are mostly fixed now.
Nvidia had massive problems with their temperatures (I believe this comic is based on Fermi, so this would be the GTX4xx series) and a lot of graphic cards burned off.

Meanwhile, Intel is slowly but steadily gaining pace and making better IGP's all the time.

more expensive than AMD, that's about it, Shadowplay, G-Sync Etc. are coming which are nice stuff and nVidia is investing much more into their development, also they have better driver and support

Kind of an old stereotype.

NVidia cards are the coolest cards on the market nowadays.
AMD have pretty good drivers now too.

Still funny though for those who remeber.

I just got a AMD Radeon R9 270X for my desktop. Beforehand using the integrated card the computer would run GTA IV at about 3 FPS on lowest settings. I bought skyrim right after installing it and it DEFAULTED TO ULTRA. I even downloaded a ******* of mods to make everything even higher quality. The only time I suffer fps loss is inside building with lots of static objects (like barrels and such, due to the static mesh improvement mod), and even then I have to be looking directly at a group of them.

Link to the mod, lots of picture examples provided : steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=11832
