Just spent dinner with a college campus nurse; she spent about two hours lecturing me about how gamers have a higher rate for mental illnesses and sleep issues
Now that dinner's over I can enjoy my coffee and work on the level 100 WoW grind
Are MMORPG players gamers or are they slaves to their games?
I've narrowly avoided having my throat ripped out by clickers in Last of us, walking through a killer story and surviving. I've fought for riches while reducing enemy ships to splinters in at least 2 assassins creed games. I've dealt with 2 violent psychopaths in Farcry, watching animals tear up my enemies and planning ambushes. I've used my crazy imagination in Besiege to create siege weapons of war. I've been bread. I've prepared to die in 2 Dark souls games, getting my anus thrashed, and learning a new definition of patience and skill. I survived the racing survival horror game of Shift 2, with its great realism and sensory overload. I traveled the alternate reality railways of bioshock with a skyhook, chainsawed aliens in gears of war. Plus dozens more. And the majority of gamers play 4 times as many games as i do.
I watched my roommate play the same mmo, league, for a YEAR. While i played a variety of adventures akin to a smash roster. All unique, heartfelt stories and gameplay that was built to be FUN.
I don't think he's a gamer, i think he's a slave. And im not surprised it comes with a variety of health issues, like people dying while playing mmo.
inb4 oh THAT game, he's not a gamer, shut the **** up.
I play League with my friends because it's fun and I've been playing for four years and still don't find a match boring Some people don't give a **** about the lore and quite frankly I'm one of them - I don't care about some "adventure" I care about the gameplay and graphics I skipped every clip in D3 and quite frankly didn't like Last of Us for the gameplay at all, but only the story so I'll never finish that game
If I want an adventure that I'm going to remember I'll go outside. I want games that I like playing for the gameplay, not the lore, and I don't see what's wrong with that lmfao
How was your roommate a slave to the game anyways?
Oh wow, what a real zinger! You really got me there, you're absolutely right . Oh wow. I just got rekt so hard you're totally right - there definitely can never be someone who enjoys going outside and video games. Gud one m9 - next time plz spare me. Ouchie
"League player" lol I'm a filthy casual, but sure, whatever you say m9
