There is a Rattata training method called F.E.A.R. I don't remember what it stands for, except the R. The R is for Rattata that will let a Rattata win any 1-on-1 battle.
Teach it Endeavor and Quick Attack and give it a Focus Sash (not Focus Band, so this is only possible in Gen IV on).
Get attacked, almost die but get saved because of the Focus Sash, use Endeavor to bring the opponent's health down far enough to equal yours, then use Quick Attack to drain that last HP from their health bar. As long as you don't do anything stupid, that Rattata can take down anything. Especially if you have some Full Restores on you.

Ghost-types can't be hit by Normal attacks, like Endeavor and Quick Attack.

They could burn/poison you and just stall until you faint.

If they are holding Leftovers, Sitrus Berry, Oran Berry, Black Sludge or pretty much any item that heals, they'll probably get back enough HP to survive your puny Quick Attack.

I never implied leftovers. But especially in OU with trevenant I've seen a lot of berry use because of Harvest. You also have choice band, etc, etc. There are many items to use that can be used. But you'll see at least 1-2 of their pokemon a hp healing item. On my OU team I only have 2 hp healing items, Leftovers and Black Sludge. Items are just based on how your team is setup.

Fable 1 was too good for 'fables own good' is how I see it, the others are no good when compared to the first but no matter how disappointed I was with them I still managed to have plenty of fun. When they aren't compared to Fable 1/lost chapters then Fable 2 and 3 aren't so bad, 3 is still much worse than 2.

The third is absolute ********.

Basically at the end you are given two choices as the king of Albion.
Be a "good" king and let your people live happily, but ultimately have them all die from a coming darkness.
Or be an "evil tyrant" by having them prepare for war and put all efforts into defending the kingdom against this darkness, in which case almost everyone survives.

Take out all the gold from the treasury, invest it in land (make rent as high as you want), continue to gather money until you have enough to pay back your debts and defend the kingdom. Easy.

Hey, here's some fun theory for you.
Theresa may or may not have created the Darkness in the first place. It makes them go blind, it is called the 'darkness', and basically half the **** she does in the second and third games is very, very ominous. Such as taking control of the Spire. Just, you know, taking it. There's actually a lot of evidence towards it, and if it actually is true... well... ominous as ****. And brilliant on her part.
Still ominous as ****, though.

I really want to see Lionhead do something cool with Fable. Fable and Fable: TLC were ******* amazing, the atmosphere, the quests, the characters, the enemies, everything. Jack of Blades was an awesome villain. I liked the minor and supporting characters, even the annoying one. It just made for a great game. I really wanted to see them expand on that with Fable 2, but I was disappointed.

Fable 2 was a good game in it's own way; It had cool characters, and an okay main quest. I did like how they revamped the real-estate system. It sucked that they removed armor though. What were they thinking when they decided to do that? Other than that, it just didn't feel like the original fable, something about it was off. Almost like it was too happy or something. Fable and Fable: TLC had a much more serious tone that Fable 2 in my opinion.

Then fable 3 came out. Dear god, the horror. The main quest was terrible, it felt like I was watching a horrible movie. It bared no resemblance to the original Fable. The UI was incredibly dumbed down - it felt like a game made for a ******* second grader. Shops only carried like 3 ************* items at a time. There was no menu or anything, you just walked up to the item and bought it. Seriously, what the ****.? Don't get me started on that ************* sanctuary ********. It was the epitome of terrible. And the combat system? ******. Seriously, enemies would block 9/10 melee attacks. All you had to do was spam AoE spells and the fight would be over. Speaking of spells, there were only 6 of them. Yes, 6 ************* spells. Are you me? Yeah, you could bind them, but they all did the same thing, and just looked different. And let's not forget there was no health bar. You would just wait until your screen started to turn red and eat all the ******* food you could. And food? they all did the same thing - heal you slightly. At least in fable 2 the food items provided different effects to your purity, morality, and attractiveness.

Could not agree more. I got Fable 3 when it was free and it was only an enjoyable game because I co-oped it with a friend. It made the experience fun and trust me it annoyed us (The sanctuary, Jasper, interaction menu with another) However, it was still fun. It seemed way too short and choppy. Fable 2 is a great game but they do need to do something cool with Fable.

Cont.

And don't get me started on that ******* guild seal system in Fable 3. Seriously. That whole idea just took the events from Fable: TLC and Fable 2, and just ****** them in the ass. Using guild seals to spend on dyes and combat abilities? The guild seal once represented something that all heroes carried. It meant something. Now instead of having an experience system, it's ************* guild seals. What the hell?

Then I saw the ads for Fable: The Journey. I had already lost all hope in Lionhead studios, but at this point, I was actually starting to hate them. I have never played it, but the facts that they didn't continue the hero bloodline, and made it a kinnect-only game already told me a lot. The whole ******* game you are drawing shapes to throw at enemies, and riding in a carriage. I wanted nothing to do with that.

Lionhead is remaking Fable: TLC, and it is coming out in February for the Xbox 360. It looks good with redone graphics and animations, but I'm worried. They have changed the UI around a bit. I know that doesn't sound like much, but The UI in the original Fable:TLC was great. It gave the game a sense of mystery and made it feel magical in a sense. It really helped set the tone for the game. Other than that, they haven't released much, but I definitely have my fingers crossed. This could go really good or really bad.

Apparently Lionhead is working on another Project called Fable: Legends. Once again, they haven't said much about this. Supposedly you can play as the Hero or the villain, which already doesn't sound very good to me. Still, they can change my opinion yet. This one can also go really good or really bad. If Lionhead does a good job, and is able to relate this one to Fable:TLC (which I have serious doubts about), there may be a glimmer of hope for the series. Another thing I would like to see is a main quest that actually relates to the lore. The trailer is here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMbfWiz58zw

TL;DR Fable went downhill.

I'm playing Fable 3 now, pretty far,and I personally love it. I've heard great things about all the other fable games I have only played the third one, sadly and I thought that the third one has a great story, interesting characters, and fun combat. I don't know why people hate the game, even if it's just because it does not live up to its brothers it's still a damn fun and enjoyable game.

Its fun and enjoyable (barely) until you become the king. Then you get to witness the epic **** that is Fable 3.

Especially when the timer goes from 121 days to 30 days with no warning, if you were a good king but didn't invest in real estate, you're in for a total surprise when the game is done.
