Ugh, this post reminds me of a show that was made into a movie but was terrible. I can't quite remember. Last thing I remember was a lamp spinning around and a voice.

Gif is probably related to my comment.

The Dai Li in Ba Sing Se would brain wash people by hypnotic suggestion. The spinning lamp and guy talking were key components of the brain washing.

Well the movie only covered the first third of Avatar (Book Water) so that scene was obviously missing.

The best film producers for game-based movies (or any fantasy) are the ones who are actual fans. For example, Corridor Digital. In just five minutes, they do more awesome **** than any of these modern "sci-fi" movies do in two hours (looking at you, Elysium, you piece of ****).

Except if a full-length movie was released in theaters and was of that quality you'd never hear the end of how bad it is.

What the **** are you talking about? That was some of the sickest **** imaginable, and they did it with amateur equipment and no finances. Imagine what they could do with money backing them.

There's a huge difference between writing a 5 minute film and a feature-length film. In short films all the important **** is condensed into the short time-frame the movie takes place over. In full movies it's more spread out, so it doesn't feel as powerful. Obviously there's exceptions, but most of the time that's the case.

When people say "I hope they make a movie from this book", they mean "I hope they make a word-for-word exact adaptation of the book"
