You really have no idea how the world works, do you? The UN is about as powerful as a wet noodle. Nobody listens to them because they know there are no consequences for ignoring them. The US and their allies that invaded Iraq and eventually captured and executed Saddam had their own reasons, which had nothing whatsoever to do with the UN.

Look at the context. Israel has been under terrorist threat from all borders. Palestine "elected" a government that is basically a front for Hamas. It is surrounded by countries that refuse to accept it as an independent state, several of which have called for open warfare/ destruction. Some of it's neighbors are actively violating UN resolutions concerning nuclear armament (Iran) and weapons of mass destruction (Syria). Thousands of UN resolutions are ignored world wide, because the UN has no teeth with which to bite. Many of Israel's violations are reactionary to either terrorist threats or military aggression from it's neighbors. It is really easy to point a finger, try living there. Most peoples would have fled, but being a theocracy Israel is firm in its convictions of its right to the holy land, just as are the muslim nations.

Whenever I see someone like you going ******* over Israel in a comments thread my first instinct is to challenge you since you are wrong and lying, but then I just laugh. I know two things that you apparently don't:

1) No amount of facts will ever change your mind because you are consumed by hate so there is no point in talking to you.
2) It doesn't matter anyway because you will never win. You have already lost.

It's kind of sad. I know how much you want to convince everyone you are right, but you never will. You will never win, but you keep trying and trying. You are so passionate about it. Again, I'm inclined to challenge you, but I can rest easy knowing that the debate has already been had. You lost.

Do you only read news articles that start with "Israel murders innocent civilians"? Do you not realize that Hamas literally places their launchpads inside homes and hospitals? How come nobody talks about that? I live about 30 KM away from the Gaza strip and we've been getting **** from them for about a decade. When Hamas use their civilians as human shields, what do you expect to happen? We have no choice. If Israel didn't care about the civilians, Gaza wouldn't exist - It's not that hard to completely demolish such a small area.
Israel invested a crapload of money into the Iron Domes to intercept Hamas' missiles when it could have invested it into carpet bombing the entire strip.
Hamas is basically this annoying little kid that won't leave you alone, but when you tell him to **** off, you get all the **** for shouting at a little kid.

Israel KNOWS they are sort of USA puppets. Then again they STILL are a free country, and why not use help from someone much stronger, when in return all they want is support. It's not like USA demands Israel to speak English and adapt their culture.

Similar situation as with Russia and it's former neighbors.
Instead of being a partner, they tried to force their filthy slavic values onto others. As a result Russia is now surrounded with nations that hate it and will eagerly accpet non-thretening Americans and the likes just to stick it to russia.

All Israel needs to do is open the border to the Gaza Strip and allow those people to finally live. Most of the problems for Israel/Middle East are " Well he killed my brother, Im going to kill his" and the cycle continues. The Arabs aren't going to be the ones to break that cycle cause they have nothing left to lose.

Well, before the Strip was walled up, Israeli could happily enjoy weekly suicide bombings for breakfast. Then the restrictions came and Hamas changed its approach. They don't do suicide bombings yet they still respect the "martyrs". True, you would allow many Palestinians to get a better life but how many radicals would you also let in?

That's not how neither of them work. Most of Hamas doesn't want a peaceful resolution with Israel but annihilation of Israel as a state. Not necessarily in physical sense. They want Palestine state only. A lot of Palestinians see it the same way and that's the problem right there. I'm not saying that there isn't a lot of Palestinians that don't give a damn about Israel as long as they get to live normally, however, given the cycle of hatred circulating in the area among the Palestinians and Israeli for many decades, I fear that this scenario of Israeli "cancellation" became something that is very natural to them, alas leaving the Palestinians seeking a peaceful resolution possibly in a minority. Besides, we are talking about Hamas. Hamas that physically eliminates opposition, Hamas that physically enforces its believes on the civilians, Hamas that doesn't tolerate criticism. Out of mutual fear and hatred Hamas is being taken for granted there. So I very doubt that it would end with open borders, on the contrary, it might start something much worse. It is a problem however... Palestinians do suffer tragically. But I still think that the first step in resolution must be related to Hamas. It's hard to negotiate anything with a radical terrorist organization.

You are right about the killing cycle, but Israel is the only country that can stop that cycle. Hamas only exist because of the injustices Israel has committed. ( Both sides have committed injustices but one side is broke as **** and the other has multi-million dollar weapons so don't really think its a fair fight)

And you are also right that its hard to negotiate with Hamas. I personally believe its impossible to find a solution with Hamas but if you stop them at the recruiting stage then you can do a lot of damage against them. The reason people join Hamas is to destroy Israel because of the crimes they committed. Israel stops the crimes and no one would have a reason to join Hamas. Like it just wouldn't make sense to general population? Why would you join an extremist group if there was no need to go to extremes to survive ?

That is true, but yet Israel is still a democratic state. I mean, how many Israelis would simply nod to the idea of putting themselves in danger to a mere chance of stopping the cycle? Israel put billions into successfully stopping over 70-90% of the Hamas rockets and does much more to secure safety of its land. It also put block posts and a wall to block Gaza Strip which admittedly caused catastrophic outcomes in its economy but on the other hand stopped weekly suicide bombings in Israel. I would say that Israeli safety is of utmost importance to Israel. Considering this, how many of them would nod to the very high probability of a huge wave of violence the moment they open the borders that could last for years, possibly decades, before there is any chance to the peaceful agreement that doesn't have to come? Not many, I think.

Israel isnt safe because its surrounded by people that hate them. Two things are going to happen: They keep fighting and stay there or keep fighting till they cant anymore and get kicked out.

The border has violence because it keeps expanding. Every time there is a conflict, the Israelies uses it as an excuse to move a little bit forward to stop the enemy. The checkpoint/post isnt being attacked since its stationary but since its getting closer to them

Hamas are ******* cowards who use civilians as meat shields all the time and cry about how Israel is killing them.
