Only thing here I can tell you is WHY that is ******* creepy. It's creepy because of a concept called the "Uncanny Valley", a phrase coined by a robotics professor named Masahiro Mori. His hypothesis states that, the closer something comes to resembling a human without actually being a human, the more unease it'll arouse within humans. This is due to ANOTHER concept coined in 1957 by social psychologist Leon Festinger, called Cognitive Dissonance. Cognitive dissonance is when your brain notices a lack of inferred information and freaks out in an attempt to fill in the blanks. The way that it works in this case is that your brain sees the mask that matches the basic concept of the human face. Because it is covering the wearer's face, you cannot read their facial expressions, which is your brain's most used tool to form opinions on other people (Do they like you, are they enjoying the conversation, are they friendly, etc.). So in an attempt to fill in the blanks, your brain assumes that the mask is the person's ACTUAL face, but lacks the requirements to make a proper substitute. So your brain is trying to make the mask seem like the person's face, but it knows it's not the person's face. That feeling of unease you feel is when your brain realizes it's Schrodinger like dilema.
