Guys, here's an update as promised. Some of you know from a thread from Admin I posted in, that some sorry son of a bitch killed my three dogs. Two by poisoning, one by gunshot. The police have been contacted, and the investigation is ongoing. Two nights ago the police came by, took pictures of the bodies I was able to recover(what can I say? *** small towns, people do without * asking). They took pictures of the blood stain on my front porch, and took reports from myself and my father on the incident.

Here's the kicker. The one that is straight up missing, she was my momma dog...and she had puppies. I wasn't sure if the puppies were still there, or even alive. I had put food down by where my dog would hole up under my house(I built her a dog house, but she liked under the house even more). I had lost all hope. I was certain the pups weren't old enough to eat solid food.

But, the picture there shows it all. Six pups, all reasonably healthy considering. I put out some more food and water for them, and they started coming out to eat and investigate. They're horribly afraid of me, but afterall, they've never seen a people before.

So, my hope is renewed. Out of the ashes of disaster rises new life. My little girl Tala lives on in her pups.

What are my plans for them? Well, it's horribly selfish, but I plan to keep one for myself, one of the ones that looks closest to Tala....what can I say? I miss my poopy-girl horribly. The rest, I will give, free of charge, to loving homes in my area. Anyone that wants one, can have one. I MUST get them away from this place in case this sick bastard comes back to do it again.

I have to say, I can't say much about the who or whats that are going on otherwise due to the police investigation, but guys and gals?

Thank you for your support and kind words during this horrible time. People on here, and other sites, have kept me going. Long enough to find out that Tala's pups were still alive. Now, it's my mission to make sure they grow up big and strong in defiance of that sicko that killed their mother. So thank you. And I will not give up until that sick ** is in prison for what he did.

Thanks again for the kind words of support. For those that are asking, I live in north Texas, and that's all about I'm will to divulge at this current time. As sure as I am that those that wish to adopt some of the puppies would give them great, loving homes, I would like to keep them local, just so I can check in on them time to time, make sure they're doing well. Nothing quite beats seeing them in person, watching them grow, even playing with them on occasion.

A dog or cat is a member of the family, and I understand accidents happen, my dog could run out into the road, or a cat run across, but if some ****** came by my house, came on my land, and killed what I love most?

Thanks man. In the meanwhile, with this being Texas and all, we're working on getting my rifle ready, and getting a rifle ready for my father. The police told us point blank, if it happens again, we're well within our rights to shoot back. Ever since this happened, we've just been horribly on edge...it's just an unpleasant mix of despair and mourning, and uncontrollable rage.

I understand better than you might think. My dog was gunned down by an old neighbor for fighting her dog, but here is the catch it was in my yard. Her little rat dog got in our yard and started hoping on my lab. Lab turns around and bites, she comes out and shoots my dog. Law was on our side but the damage was done, and not much they could do anyway.

Those puppies look around what, at least 4 weeks old and probably closer to six. Why have they not seen people? Take them to a vet and do vaccinations and deworming, before they get sick and ******* die. Without mom they have no natural defenses.

look at the size of the crawlspace hole, I physically cannot get underneath there, man. I ain't a fat ****** , but I ain't skinny either, and I know of nobody who's small enough and physically able to fit in that hole. As I said, the momma dog preferred under the house to her own dog house. And I do intend to get them to a vet ASAP.

Beneful has a chemical in it - basically antifreeze - there have been multiple law suits trying to sue them due to dogs dying of liver failure, ulcers, kidney failure, and in my husky's case (and other cases) seizures.

My dog got killed almost a year ago. An old crazy lady who couldn't stand the barking at night, which he barely did. She poisoned him. Despite losing the house, and being forced to surrender him to the dog shelter, we managed to rent a large space of land, big enough for him to run loose in, after we fenced it off (I rent a small house without a garden, so I couldn't keep him (no pets allowed either)). We were so happy. He survived the horrible time in the shelter (he hates being locked up by bars). Then, after everything was finally alright, he got murdered. Poisoned. We found proof of the poison. Me, my dad, and my girlfriend saw him die in my dad's arms.

I know what you're going through, and I hope they catch the sick son of a bitch. Nobody deserves to go through that. Godspeed man. And may the pup bring you new happiness.
