Later on in the show we literally had to start asking ourselves why we liked some of these characters because.. well.. nazis....

I've read the synopsis of the book and the T.V version sticks to the main premise and backstory but goes off and tells its own stories with its own characters. some of the names stay the same but there are lots of variances. Again i don't think this detracts from the show, i just thought you should be aware that they have taken liberties with the story and that it won't be an exact copy of what you read. Happy watching!
