I don't care about the name of the guinea pig but it must now be called "Meatball".

really? I've always wanted to try it. why don't you; or is it not that common?
User avatar #21 to #20 - itsgnar (01/08/2016) [-]
It is very common if you go to the right restaurants but most of the time there's stuff that I'd rather have on the menu.

It's not that I don't want to try it; I just haven't ordered one for myself yet.

I've tried Alpaca once, though.

Yeah, we're known for the food. The alpaca bit was a special occasion, on a trip to Cuzco and I've only been there once. And it's not like we eat culinary masterpieces everyday but you have a great chance of finding something good, even if it's a cheap local.

And even though we have a large variety of plates to chose from, the public's favorite around my area is most likely roasted chicken. You don't understand, ******* around here love roasted chicken and I'm no exception. So much that we have a non-official holiday dedicated to it and if people want to raise money for something, they might organize a chicken fest.

Other South-Americans might refer to "pigeon eating" if trying to insult us.
Let's just say there's a partial but not necessary truth to that.

Soft meats taste like rabbit, or dark meat chicken, but some parts are tougher and can get greasier, especially the skin to the point where I want to say it tastes like pork skin (not deep fried pork rind), but I don't eat pork often aside from bacon and ham. Bones take somewhat little effort to chew through.

(guinea pig dish looked just like that picture)
