My uncle builds storm shelters for a living, and lives in a town with a relatively large Mexican population (for North Mississippi standards, anyway). He has had many issues with communicating with Mexicans who don't speak the best English, and usually ends up having to speak to a child. There was one time when a little girl called him over the phone and got him to come the next day, and when he got there the man and his son had already dug the hole for him (but they dug the wrong parameters, so they made him let them help him re-dig it).

They were there legally, I live in Canada and the boss would travel to mexico, arrange their paperwork and ship them in because they not only worked their asses off but did it for minimum wage.
The problem was, it's by far the ********* job I ever worked in terms of working conditions, and we only got paid minimum wage to do it, when I've got paid more to do easier jobs at other places. That is probably the biggest way that foreign workers hurts our working class: they don't have the same opportunities as us, unfortunately, so they're easily exploited, but since they're exploitable, it either reduces our pay grade or removes the job.
