EA-Nasir ?
Explains why he ****** his clients over, refused to hand products they paid for and in the end sent crap quality.

The Mummy films are based on a true story, but instead of Imohtep a far greater evil was unleashed

it's a conspiracy...EA is in reality an ancient order of ********* !

Man, this should become a movie.

Where they are researching Ea-Nasir and there's a huge conspiracy.

Like they see all these companies with EA subtly put in the name.

Then they find out the ultimate EA company called EA Games.

And the CEO turns out to be Ea-Nasir, a 4000 year old evil wizard who tries to destroy capitalism by exploiting it.

This is an execellent idea.

I'm studying game design. Tabling this for future storyline reference. First, I'll need a great gameplay mechanic that compliments the idea.

Well, in my head it would work like this.

You start out as an archeologist not unlike Drake from Uncharted or Indiana Jones.
At some point during an excavation, you stumble upon the writings of Ea-Nasir, a corrupt Mesopotanian ore trader who had many written records about him due to him being bad on the local economy. In these writings you find out about his plans to overthrow Mesopotamia by destroying the economy from within. That was, until his plot was discovered by the local emperor's son. By the time he had amassed a group to arrest Ea-Nasir, he seemingly vanished in thin air.

During your research about Ea-Nasir, you stumble upon a different name but the same story. He had set up a business in a different empire, but even there, he was discovered.

Ea-Nasir has seemingly died after that, since there are no more records mentioning him directly.

Instead, our protagonist notices a pattern with various businesses in different empires of their time.

It goes along the Egyptians, the Alexandrian empire, the Romans, Charlemagne's empire, the Islamic Caliphates, the Babylonian empire, The VOC etc.

Until finally, America.

Ea-Nasir has now become more powerful as capitalism (where he draws his strength from) has become so much bigger since there is now a global market.

You finally face him in the headquarters of EA where he uses his ancient magicks but also modern weaponry (like guns and grenades and such) to end you.

I haven't thought of a satisfactory ending yet.

At the end of the credits, fade to black, open up to a beautiful starry view of space.

Have a man open a containment device. He reads in old Babylonian. In the word, Ea-Nasir is mentioned. Magic swirls forth from the tablet, and flows into the man holding it. The camera gets a close-up of his eyes, and they burn with intensity. the screen switches to a view of a large space ship, with the name EA Enterprises on it. Fade to black with the man's laughing,

Damn this would have been the best for an AC type scenario where you are actually doing research FOR Ea gaming in history Simulation and because of that you find out about the secret. Maybe you could change that concept to make it a little less similar to AC?

Make it a really good game, but in make it incomplete so the consumers have to pay for the rest of it in DLC.

They didn't carve a rock, they would write with a wedge in clay (cuneiform is latin for "wedge shaped"), and it would either dry or be heated.
User avatar #7 to #1 - silverzepher (10/13/2015) [-]
True, but that's even worse.

"I'm so ****** pissed, where is my clay, tell el-dingsonger to heat the kiln, I'm going to write a complain, fire it, and send my slave to hand deliver my anger at this shoddy copper cup"
User avatar #18 to #7 - thechosentroll (10/13/2015) [-]
You didn't need a kiln, though. You use kilns for quality clay stuff. More often than not, those were just left to dry in the sun. Also, I imagine it was much more fun to personally deliver the tablet and smash it in the persons' head.
User avatar #21 to #1 - talpss (10/13/2015) [-]
The actual Latin would be cuneiformis, cuneiform is Anglicized and not Latin.
User avatar #22 to #21 - thevaulthunter (10/13/2015) [-]

User avatar #23 to #22 - talpss (10/13/2015) [-]
Some signs that something is straight from Latin include: words ending in -ient/ent, words ended in -or (honor, gladiator, color, etc), words ending in -a/ae, words ending in -us/i (although some exceptions include cactus and octopus, those were first Greek then Latinized), and words ending in -um/ium/ia. 2/3s of English are Latin in origin, half of that coming right from French and the other from Latin itself.

Translation courtesy of a quick Google search:

Tell Ea-nasir: Nanni sends the following message:

When you came, you said to me as follows : “I will give Gimil-Sin (when he comes) fine quality copper ingots.” You left then but you did not do what you promised me. You put ingots which were not good before my messenger (Sit-Sin) and said: “If you want to take them, take them; if you do not want to take them, go away!”

What do you take me for, that you treat somebody like me with such contempt? I have sent as messengers gentlemen like ourselves to collect the bag with my money (deposited with you) but you have treated me with contempt by sending them back to me empty-handed several times, and that through enemy territory. Is there anyone among the merchants who trade with Telmun who has treated me in this way? You alone treat my messenger with contempt! On account of that one (trifling) mina of silver which I owe(?) you, you feel free to speak in such a way, while I have given to the palace on your behalf 1,080 pounds of copper, and umi-abum has likewise given 1,080 pounds of copper, apart from what we both have had written on a sealed tablet to be kept in the temple of Samas.

How have you treated me for that copper? You have withheld my money bag from me in enemy territory; it is now up to you to restore (my money) to me in full.

Take cognizance that (from now on) I will not accept here any copper from you that is not of fine quality. I shall (from now on) select and take the ingots individually in my own yard, and I shall exercise against you my right of rejection because you have treated me with contempt.
#42 to #30 - tenpoundpom (10/13/2015) [-]
interesting that its particularly 1080 pounds, i guess they had standard measurements in powers of 2 like how old weights are 2, 4, 8 ounces so they can combine to make any desired weight

Yes, they're humans just like us, and they have experienced the same things like we do today, albeit in a different setting. That's something we tend to forget about history, that nothing went perfect and great. We see them like some kind of aliens who perfectly played a role in a play, the play being history itself.

**yunch rolled image** Funny how no matter how advanced we humans get, or how much we wish we get in the future that could 'solve our problems', there are always going to be other things that piss us off.

Reminds me of that roman guy who burned down the library of Alexandria just so people would remember him for millenia for his dicksishness. I'd say it worked.
