Say what you want about the Hobbit trilogy, but those last 20 minutes...

I felt the pacing of the third movie was terrible, it and honestly the way they did it felt like they shoved way to much into such a small frame. Plus it was so weird to have a LoTR universe movie that started out right in the action.

Though it was nice to see a dwarven army fight on screen.

I love The Hobbit. I only like LOTR better than The Hobbit because of some small personal preferences when it comes to story, action, etc.

but did it feel like it was? i felt like i was there, it hit me hard, even though i didnt read the hobbit all the way through, it felt real, the emotions were real. The adventure, was real.

Oh I enjoyed it quite a bit, especially the ending.
Last week I actually saw every movie, starting with An Unexpected Journey to The Return of the King, mind you it was th extended edition where every film is almost 5 hours..Glorious

And it was great, but I feel the Hobbit movies were more .. Disney-ish

i do agree that production wise the LOTR movies were better, but story wise the hobbit was. Maybe because i read the book when i was very young i know its different from the book slightly

Im fan of war, or military history is perhaps the PC term..
Even in fantasy I find it more appealing, so it trumps the story
Atleast on my end

Jedifant not related.

man i cried so much at this part. its not the end of just the trilogy. That's it, everything is over. No more LOTR movies. Honestly those 5 or 6 notes from a flute will bring tears to my eyes every damn time

The Silmarillion will probably turn up in the end.

maybe I suppose, but the writing of that book is so incredibly different that other than being in the same universe, would be very different.

i actually enjoyed the hobbit trilogy. it wasnt nearly as good as LotR, but it was still a good bit of high fantasy.
