xsap (03/13/2014) [-] makes me sad how the VFX industry is dying because of how unfairly the VFX companies get paid, everyone on a movie set is payed by the hour, but the VFX companies get payed with bids, for example they might give the VFX companies 10 million dollars for the whole movie and the directer might be a dick and tell them to chance 80% of the movie because he doesn't like it, and if it takes longer than the estimated time and they use up the 10 million its the companies who ends up paying the artists for the rest of the project and ends up losing money.
