I've been working in unity for a while now, you think it's worth switching over to unreal?

Unfortunately, I haven't had the pleasure of testing it out myself yet. But, based on what I've seen so far, really, the only reason you WOULDN'T want to switch is because it's so resource intensive, both the engine and final product.

Programming is very user friendly too, since it uses a visual coding tool called Blueprint, so that gives you more time to focus on the design and stuff.

Unity's main strengths are acessibility, rapid prototyping, and muiltiplatform development. The first one becomes less important for experienced developers, but speed is still a thing when time is money

Unreal has long considered to be more full featured and have better performance, but unity has just had a huge upgrade and that may no longer be true. Do your research thoroughly.

Ask people on the unity forums what they think of unreal. Ask on the epic forums what they think of unity.

IT IS NOT ******* FREE
They take a 5% cut. That might be small to begin with but it can be millions if you're sucessful

On the other hand, unity engine has also just undergone a pricing change. It is now free and full featured for any organisation with an income of <100k USD per annum

Actually free. As in you pay nothing to develop, nothing in royalties.

Once you start making >100k, the pricing between the two engines becomes more of a grey area. You have to start drawing line graphs of development time, team size, and gross income, in order to work out which is a better deal.
