Forced to read:
The Grapes of Wrath (Amazeballs on film, not too bad on print)
Heart of Darkness (Struggle, but glad I read it)
The Great Gatsby (Great)
The Scarlet Letter (Snorefest)
A Tale of Two Cities (Never Again)
Death of a Salesman (Better watched on stage)
The Crucible (Good if read out loud)
Romeo and Juliet (Same as Crucible)
Julius Caesar (Meh up until he dies)
The Oddysey (One of my all time favorites)
Twilight (I had a dumb ******* teacher that year)
Frankenstein (Still a better love story than Twilight)

Great Gatsby was probably one of my favorite books to read in high school. It wasn't a very exciting read, but it sure as hell was a lot more interesting than the other **** we had to read

I love books. Like I seriously read 3-4 books a month. Even when I was a kid loved reading. That said. Every book I was ever required to read in college and high school was the driest most painstakingly boring books I have ever read and Great Gatsby was one of the worst. On a side note, **** Shakespeare.

That was never a required reading material for my high school.

The Odyssey was, though. And that's a good story.

The only books we got forced to read at my secondary school were private peaceful and Of mice and men. Both of which broke my heart and made me cry like a little bitch.

I never read books, I find it hard to concentrate on them due to the following mentality I have towards them.

Fiction books are simply a waste of time and a lot more so then watching a movie. I'd rather chill for an hour and a half watching a movie then get some work done over spending the day reading.

Non-Fiction books simply contain information that can be found online, except the information in the book cannot be updated unless by the release of another book so they could potentially contain outdated "facts". (excluding manga/comics as they're mostly images and thus very quick to read)

I prefer to do my reading online, I think it's much more beneficial as I can get informed from multiple sources.

Yes because the Great Gatsby is the hardest book ever. It's like a hundred pages long.
