Now, each strand of paracord is rated to hold up to 550 lbs of instantaneous force. Using the correct terms for force, the kilonewton, and knowing that one kilonewton is equal to 224.809 lbs, that means that each strand will hold 2.44652 kilonewtons. Now, there is 8 strands braided together on this, all adding up to 4400 lbs of force, or 19.57218 kN. The weak point of this is where the paracord connects to the clip, which is only 4 strands, adding up to 2200 pounds or 9.786088 kN. The Frog Clip itself is rated for 23 kN of instantaneous force, which comes out to 5170.61 lbs of instantaneous force that it can withstand.
Had a customer who wanted me to make a dog leash with this certain clip on it. Here is the end result. This is an 8 strand braid of 550 lb test paracord with a KONG Frog Cable Clip, which was designed and is used for paratroopers to clip onto the wire before they jump and to hold under extreme force in order to properly pull the parachute out. Now, if we do the math on this:

Now, this made me wonder: unless my friend is walking Cerberus around the block, why the hell does he want this thing made?
