Regardless of how bad an idea it was, it's done and can't realistically be undone. It's long past time people accepted the fact that there's a country there and there's going to continue to be a country there. I'm sure Israel does a lot of things we over here in our comfortable first world countries would consider terrible and barbaric, but then we don't face daily struggles with enemies whose stated purpose is our total annihilation, do we? It's easy to criticize, but put in their place, you'd probably do the same thing.

I'd attended a preppy boarding school prior where I'd made a few mexican-jewish buddies (most of whom I actually thought were pretty cool guys), and I had heard the Jewish point of view on the matter through them. Once I heard both opinions it prompted me to do a bit more research, until eventually I just concluded that neither the muslim nor jewish sides of the conflict are worth supporting, because they're both retarded.
And concerning me telling you "not to play victim": The way you said that Israel only exists because the US government (whose actions you somehow attributed to American citizens and voters, lol) allows it to sounds a lot like "Oy vey! It's not our fault we got put in this mess! It's not the jews fault America sends us billions every year and continues to support our side of the conflict! It's you voter and taxpayer goys! You don't want to support Israel? Then just vote not to!"
See the problem with saying this is that Israel has infected the American government like a bad case of dormant genital herpes. At face value it looks like America truly supports Israel's side of the conflict, but seriously, check out AIPAC if you haven't already. Kinda disgusting. And, American people have been trying to get rid of it, for a long time.
Disclaimer: I'm not saying that the American government is corruption-free aside from the Jews. Far from it. so you let it slide you live with him but day after a day a few more relatives of his come over and never leave, eventually you find yourself locked in the upper floor with just a bathroom and a small kitchen,while the rest of your house is overrun. you call your neighbours for help and they agree.
your neighbours drop by but get their asses handed to them by the bikers and the guys relatives so now you find yourself trapped in the upstairs bathroom with no way to even leave. a few days go by and the electricity and water go off the door opens up and you get your first of mainy daily whippings.
