he actually got close to 12 million for the fight, his pay from the ufc may not have been that, but his sponsorships, his new ufc game deal and with profits from the pay per view which he takes $5 of every one sold. he's done pretty well for himself
Its rediculous saying he earnt 16 mil in 14 seconds. its like saying if i work for years and years, but make a business deal in 14 seconds I know you dont make a deal in that time but you still get the point you earned all that money in those 14 seconds. Better example would be perhaps to say that the signing of the deal is 14 seconds.
This sums up FJ. Everything you said is completely ignorant lol. He did not make 16m.. You probably have never even watched MMA so why the **** you commenting?
the beginning is good be the ending is so ****** up, and not in a creepy kind of way no, just ****** up it doesn't make any sense anymore
it's the same for the movies the first two were good then the creator ****** up everyone with the third movie who was just the protagonist crying (because he's a little bitch) for 1 hours then some typical japanese things happened blah blah blah
as a fighter this pisses me off. people assume the only ****** work done is the minutes in the cage. he didnt earn millions in seconds. he busted ass for years and years to get to that point. its a hard job man. no success is easy especially not in the fight game.
Yeah, it ain't easy. It takes talent, skill, knowledge, at least years of training, and more.
But at the end of the day, people are getting paid millions to beat the snot out of other people. At the very basic of basic level, it's absurd how much money people get for being able to throw a single punch that knocks someone else out. Absurd to the point of stupidity.
But that's true for pretty much every sport. And, if you try hard enough, true for pretty much every form of entertainment ever.
All you're doing is helping prove my point. People get paid stupid amounts of money for entertainment, and it's stupid. But that's how the world works. It's a silly system that isn't going away, and people shouldn't be admonished for mentioning that fact, nor the opposite.
Yeah i'm an Ammy MMA fighter going pro soon and it's alot to endure, the Weight cutting the dieting and all the blood sweat and tears we poor in the gym there's a lot more that goes on behind the scenes it's so stressful
Yes. Everybody here takes this post completely seriously. It is not a parody of spam emails your Grandma used to send you, nor is it a joke as we do not joke on FUNNYjunk.
You may be a real fighter, but did you get one too many concussions? Because your comment is retarded...
As someone else who is a fighter, I'm gonna agree with all the people replying to your post. Everybody knows it's not easy dude, it's just a ******* joke.
That depends on the comic really. Although he is usually already big, there are versions of him that are scrawny and there are versions of him that are thin and muscular.
Oh **** , people don't appreciate me as much as I would like. Said every person ever. Come on man. People know that you work just as hard as they do, it's just that people like to complain about **** . It's how they blow off steam. Maybe they should try punching someone, but complaining about someone else is easier.
Nah, there's a reason you're not a famous/successful fighter. There was no "years and years" and it's not "a hard job". He just min/maxed his stats when he made his character.
Im pretty sure noone assumes that fighters just go on a crash-course of fighting, then enter the ring and win money.
Everyone knows that **** takes years of hard work to even get a decent shot at that much money, so i think you're kinda just getting pissed for the sake of getting pissed.....
main event winners get more than the ones who aren't main event and who didn't win. there's a split in percentages based on how many buys the pay per view sells. more pay per view buys. more money. less pay per view buys less money
He made $500k in disclosed salary from the UFC, as well as probably a decent amount of undisclosed bonuses and sponsor money from Reebok. But 16 mil? This would be the first I've heard about a number that high, where did you see that?
Interesting. As you can see from the articles you posted, the media isn't privy to the exact terms of UFC fighter contracts as far as how much of a cut of PPV money they receive. Even at conservative estimates the Forbes article says it would be $3 per PPV buy, so likely to be over 3 million bucks in his pocket plus his salary and sponsorships.
The numbers in the smh article don't really make much sense though. The say he'll make $12 million off of the PPV which would equate to 20% of the gross, which would be $12 per buy and seems quite high. Even believing that he's getting $12 million from the PPV I don't know where they got the other $3.5 million from to land him at an eventual $16 million for the nights work.
I think the truth probably lies somewhere closer to Forbes estimate, since with the numbers that they provided the math adds up. Still $3.5 mil-$8 mil puts him way up at the top as far as a UFC fighter making money off of one fight. The only other fighters who have even come close to that are Rousey and possibly Brock when he first came over and brought lots of WWE fans with him.
