My turtle ate my other turtle. While there was still feeder fish for him to eat. I told my brother that my turtle had to go train with the teenage mutan ninja turtles.

Was your terrarium too small? That's usually what causes fish and other small-pets to eat each other. Fighting for space is more important than eating feeder fish.
Im sure we didnt. It probably didnt help that the bigger of the 2 and the one that did the acted of cannibalism was actually found in front of my childhood home rather then bought at the store like the smaller one. But we had him for 5 years when he had his murder suicide incident.
You can't just assume that two turtles, especially when you don't know jack **** about onhe of them, won't fight each other just because they are both turtles. Dogs fight each other, many animals fight each other.
It's possible that if you did your research like you should have, you'd have found out about something that maybe could have let you prevent this.
Aquariums are not just a matter of slapping random animals and plants into a glass container and hope that nautre finds a way, you know.
I mean we were just considering the fact that they were both the same species. They belong to my brother not me. Though i was the main care taker because that tank smelled like **** and no one else cared. I in fact cared most about them and they werent even mine. Honestly im sure they were supposed to live longer but I mean it wasnt my pet to begin with. They would have died alot sooner if it wasnt for me.
Dude, swamp turtles aren't chill. They aren't chill at all. ************* want to bite your fingers off at any given opportunity and they won't stop until they're sleeping peacefully with their small rocks. They're even willing to bite each other to get the majority of the food, and **** can get pretty brutal.
Snappers too, those ******* are made of rage and dismemberment. Saw one sitting in the road in Ohio once, and everyone knows the unspoken rule there- If there's a turtle in the road and you can move him to safety without being in danger, do it.
That sumbitch would not let me circle around to pick him up from the back. He turned to face me and hissed at every attempt,. Wound up grabbing a 4 foot branch, sticking it his face so he'd clamp onto it, and dragging him off. Good thing I didn't actually try to pick him up, too. ****** must've weighed 40 pounds.
ikr
I mean, I can't really say my turtles have the best enclosures, but the water is clean, they have light and somewhere to climb even if one of them doesn't leave the water
What species do you have btw?
Mines an alligator snapper, Feraligatr :3
Alligators almost never leave the water but i still give him a lump of bog wood just incase.
Lol, turtles are assholes, i know of some caimen at a local reptile shop kept with some terrapins i think they were, you wouldnt think it but they dont give two ***** , they steal the caimens food from their ******* mouths even.
