PMD rescue team and explorers were my favorite Pokemon games, recently nintendo dumbed the games down into liquid child friendliness and the most recent pmd barely had a story. i only hope the fourth is going to back to the roots
Man, when I first played that i was like 12 and I was crying so hard at the part where all the pokemon in the village turn on you and kick you out of the village that bit really stuck with me

I found out about it recently and I'm pretty excited. I think there's a real good chance but you always have to wait for reviews.
Also I'm going to buy Explorers of Sky pretty soon for the extra content. What are your thoughts on that game? I don't have much of an opportunity to discuss it.
Don't wait for the reviews.
If you think you are going to like it, chances are you will. The majority of my most beloved games got bad reviews.
Everyone has a different experience. Just try it for yourself

I've never had both pairs of games so I only own Blue Rescue Team and Explorers of Time. I think as a kid I had a friend who had Red Rescue Team but otherwise nothing.
I've always played as a Cyndaquil named Ash and a Pikachu named Pikachu. I'm trying to figure out what different characters to play as what to name them for Explorers of Sky.

That's the plan. I just can't decide if I want to start as a Cyndaquil or keep it with me as an extra partner. Quilava and Typhlosion are my favorite Pokemon.
If I still had a DS, I'd say reviews be damned and buy it anyway, I've always enjoyed the Mystery Dungeon series so unless they do something terrible and it ***** up the entire game I doubt it'd not be worth a buy if you were a fan of the previous titles.
Gamefreak is a shell of their former selves. They admitted to wanting to do freemium phone games around the release of Pokemon Shuffle. And it isn't just Mystery Dungeon that got dumbed down, not by a mile.
pokemon was never hard in the first place. but what this guy is stating is that they took the very little difficulty pokemon had (having to grind a bit more before a gym battle, areas people found difficult to navigate through) and smashed to the ground to try and get more of the younger gen to play the game. Yes, the game is for children but so was the first edition so why change so much to make it easier?
I totally agree. I only recently picked up OR but it really is a let down after playing X/Y. Granted, GF were working with a title >10 years old, but since they went so far with the updates in HG/SS and added a lot of new features with X/Y, I can't help but feel a little cheated that OR/AS was so lacking in content.
I mean, the game is great; I still enjoyed enjoyed it. But if not for the online features & new megas in OR/AS, I'd have just replayed Emerald instead :I.
Also Furret are 5'11". Just imagine being a young teen walking through tall grass when all of a sudden one of those appear and tower over you. And Dunsparce are supposed to be only a foot shorter than them, which is ******** .
God dammit, I didn't need a reminder of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. Those games really hit you in the feels more directed to Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky
Really? I've never played them, but my buddy did and when I asked him about it he said the plot basically boiled down to "the Legendaries are being dicks".
nope
it's basically "Darkrai ****** everything up and you don't find out until the absolute end"
the only ******** thing about the games are how badly RNG can **** you up, as well as some crappy mechanics
DS games go in the top of the original DS (and the DS Lite). Gamely advanced games go in the bottom. they're doing the same thing in your hands if you play them together.
Anyone else think it was kinda ******** that you had to wait to beat the game before you could evolve in PMD? Being a cute first stage evolution is no reason to make me be a Cyndaquil the whole damn game. Wouldn't it be cooler to start off small and by the time you roll up on Rayquaza you're a Typhlosion with a Blastoise by your side ready to kick ass? Makes more sense then having to go into a damn hole in the ground
Still loved the **** out of that game. Just had an issue with how it handled evolving
