Yes it is weird. My government pays people who are born without: arms/legs/hearing/brains to help them, but me, who can't see anything but distorted colours without glasses, have to pay thousands to be a functioning human being. That is not just weird but stupid as well.

Really? Do you drive a car? I'm not allowed that without glasses, I can't even go out of my own apartment without them. I had a time when they broke (and my spare was in my locker at school) and I had to call a friend so he could drive me to an optician and get them repaired.

Yeah I'm sorry got a little heated there. What I mean is person who is only partially deaf or has just lost a finger gets funding from the government to fix the problem as well as modern science and medicine can. But I can't even get a grant for my disability.

If you're doing lazors, it can be expensive, but I can get two pairs of prescription glasses, plus the examination for....I think it was 200 dollars. My current glasses I have had for nearly ten years. That isn't a bad price. You just gotta shop around.

Braces just make you look better most of the time don't they? They don't serve any other useful purpose for most people. Glasses on the other hand help you do something essential to doing most things.

It can help fix a problem that can possibly lead to mouth diseases later in their life. Also glasses can easily fall off in combat and you're ****** when that happens. Unless you have them tied to your face somehow

In Denmark, they can cost thousands of crowns, actually. It's usually around 600ish per lense, plus the frame, at least where I live, but trifocals are much more expensive, and if you add anti-fogging and such, they can easily go into the thousand+ per lense.
