Lockpicking in fallout 4 just seems too easy compared to the other fallouts. (and skyrim if you wanna include that) I'm not sure if it is just easier or if my combine time lockpicking has just made me this good. Either way I'm only breaking a lockpick like once every five locks. only spending like 5 seconds per lock including the loading time. Anyone else having this problem?
I learned to lockpick blindly. Not because I'm blind but because a bug prevents me from seeing the lock while lockpicking. On an unrelated not, does anyone know how to fix a bug, when the lock disappears when lockpicking in Fallout 4?
Played it until August when they destroyed the PvP. The Dev-team is terrible and never admits mistakes -- ever. PvP and Combat leads almost never talk to each other, so you have total ******* going on most of the time.
That said, the gameplay was lovely... Still, if you're not a Sorc or NB, you're not worth existing with the current balance.
I was quite flustered with trying to flick the mouse in the right way to move the pick upwards, then I just stumbled across Nocturnal's quest and got the skeleton key which led to auto-attempt spamming, cause hey it's not gonna break so why not?
I've played ESO since beta, and I am still playing it now pretty religiously, I honestly really like it. When I first got into it, I wasn't really too nit picky on anything, I kinda just went through the game, did the quests, and leveled my character, I actually didn't complete most of the quests till I got to max level, because I just grinded.
Right now, considering the max level is v16, the end game content lies within PvP, the Veteran Maelstrom Arena, a solo PvE arena, Veteran Dungeons, and the new Wrothgar Area if you're into questing and simple PvE content. There are Trials (Raids, which need 12 man groups), but they don't scale to max level, but they are releasing new ones in Quarter 1 of Next year with the new big update
The Veteran Dungeons (4 Man groups) scale to max level, but when you are playing with a full team, all geared out and knows what they are doing, it's more of a grind than a challenge. These Vet Dungeons have special gear, pic related, which is what you want.
There are 2 kinds of PvP Cyrodiil and Imperial City, Cyrodiil is mostly bigger scale stuff with objectives, taking keeps and such, while Imperial City is small scale, close quarters PvP.
And the Veteran Maelstrom Arena is the hardest PvE content in the game right now, where only a handful of players have completed it. I can go into more detail, but I don't want to make this post longer than this.
sorry for the wall, I know that ESO has a lot of bad rep, but I honestly love the game, even with some of the crap I put up with in it. I think the combat system is amazing, and I'm looking forward to what ZOS adds in the future, especially for PvP.
People **** on it just because it's cool to, but honestly it's a lot of fun, the developers actually listen and it's a pretty good value for 60 bucks. And the PVP is some of the most fun I've ever had in a game, and that was playing solo
i played it from the beta all the way through when they stopped requiring a subscription, and a little bit beyond that
more vague MMO style quests, repeated NPCs, and the combat honestly doesn't feel very solid (you don't feel like you do much damage, or that your hits really "land" if that makes sense)
it does however have some fun characters, kind of interesting story and dungeons, plus visuals are really good as well. it's easier to spot out the bad stuff because everything else just blends in because you expect it to
I played solo for months and was able to stay entertained. if you get in a group or a guild i bet you would have a better time
pic related it's my Veteran rank 5 khajiit sneak character (went from bow sword+sheild, to bow+two handed, to bow + duel weild, to fire staff + dual weild)
well my only experience with WoW was a free trial back in like 2007 so i couldn't really tell you
and i have no clue about GW2
the only MMOs i have played were ESO and FFXIV, and i enjoyed both of them, but for different reasons
you're likely to enjoy ESO if you enjoy elder scrolls lore and baackstory. otherwise yeah, it is a pretty generic MMORPG. it's easy to understand and fun to explore
plus, it no longer requires a subscription
you could buy it for $40~ dollars and get at least 40 hours out of probably 2-3 zones alone
I guess i'm kind of an inbetween class, not a full DPS and certainly not a tank. Since I played on my own i kind of had to multi-class. two-handed was a lot of fun to play, and they are fun, but i guess i don't get quite the same feel as i did from FFXIV for whatever reason.
what kind of build do you have?
i just finished my 2nd storyline (did some Dominion stuff in beta, started with Daggerfall covenant, then did all of Dominion, about to start Daggerfall at some point)
maybe when finals are over and I've shortened my list of games i'll go on and do a few quests every once and a while
well i kind of had to since, like i said, i was playing solo
i can handle every boss i've faced on usually the first go, no problems
for things like anchors i obviously can't solo that very easily, but with 1 or 2 other people it's fine
i'm really just doing the most hybrid build. dual weild uses up stamina, switch to fire staff to use up magica, then switch, or blend them together
it's a great MMORPG that was **** on due to the monthly subscription which has long since been abandoned, look for Tamriel Unlimited and pvp is a blast
Just make sure you carry around a ******** of repair hammers and repair your gear after every fight until you reach 100 and only have to carry around 1 hammer.
i like to use the argument with Oblivion being the best TES that it's a bridge between morrowind and skyrim, with morrowind having great RPG depth and difficulty, with skyrim being very fun to explore if not a bit easy basically Oblivion is love, Oblivion is life
Except that it's not. Close maybe, but the tumblers/pins/springs are the same length/height. Plus it's missing a few parts. If you try to put an actual key in the lock, it will not turn.
Are you a ******* retard? They said "probably the most accurate" but you say they're wrong and don't even supply anything that's more accurate? Where the **** in there comment do they not make it clear that they aren't saying the game is completely accurate and are just saying that it's most likely the closest thing to realistic that video games will get when trying to reproduce the experience? Jesus ******* christ anon learn some english you dense ****
I'm doing a rogue playthrough in oblivion right now. I'm level 35 and I've only broken 13 lockpicks. I've got about 200 lockpicks right now. The trick to lockpicking is just to wait until the tumbler goes up at it's slowest and then click. You can't rush it.
Well I know how to do it. The main reason I break picks is because I'm jumpy and I don't want to miss the slow tumbler or I wait for it to register that it went up slow and it breaks because I didn't press fast enough.
After i got through a pair of dungeons with bascally EVERY thing locked I just got the hang of it. There was this little faint hint when you touch the right pin and I learned to notice it everytim.
After that I just never failed. Skeleton key was kinda useless then.
Game is called Gothic by the way. (Has nothing to do with the eponymous subculture).
Developed by German company Piranha Bytes and published in 2001.
I loved it despite of the disastrous bugs. After a dozend of patches it was awesome
Strangely enough, by the time I got to a Mimic, and my horrible attention to detail, I had already been attacking all of the chests for no good reason, then this happened....instead of getting eaten, I just simply got my ass whooped, then got ate.
If you throw a Lloyds Talisman at a mimic, it will just open and you can take the loot without having to fight it. I kill them anyway though, just thought this information might be helpful.
Dot hack is easily one of my most favorite series, i have played every game outside of japan whatched every season and spin off/mini series and read almost all the books and manga. its good **** ! =D <3<3<3
I think I got to the second town with the floating islands, but I had to collect certain virus cores. Problem was I couldn't really figure out how to get them. I think virus core b? It's been years since I've played it
OH, lol. All you needed to do was pick an area to go fight monsters, and then data drain every one that you could. i think the medium sized monsters would give virus core B's.
i had gotten this game years ago as well, but i never got the other 3 parts. Recently i broke down and downloaded them for the ps2 emulator so i could play them through. i think i'm still on disc 2, maybe 3.
scottp
one of the tomes you get tells you what monsters specifically drop what core name and zone they are located in..hehe had to make a list/chart for disc 4 quarantine because i needed so many specific cores, core hunted for hours on end.
I might start the game back up and look up which areas to hunt for Virus Core B. Also, I didn't even realize Mistral was a girl. I thought she was just a very effeminate guy
I miss Chaos Theory and Pandora Tomorrow.
Never has tackling the **** out of a spy and beating the crap out of them with the butt of a rifle been more fun...
I haven't played Thief 3 yet. I recently bought it and am re-playing through Thief 1 and 2 again on each difficulty trying to get 100% and have as much fun as possible before proceeding to 3.
