Personally this is my theory: she constantly says "this female character did this or this because of writing and patriarchy!" It kind of makes it seem like she doesn't see them as characters with personalities and intelligence and choices, but only tools for the writers to use. Idk, I consider the choices that sheppard makes life-changing personal decisions rather than linear paths that are just there to tell a story. She doesn't like...appreciate or consider that female characters could actually be people. It's tough to explain but that's how I see it.
Also, a lot of hate is for the pure hypocrisy. She blasts companies for putting bows, makeup, lipstick, earrings, etc, but she's wearing all of that herself. She constantly grabs random indie games and goes "this is more the exception rather than the rule". Ignoring people like alyx vance, lilith and maya, elizabeth from bioshock, makes it seem like she isn't really looking hard enough for good characters.
She also has gone on record speaking where she said "I'm not a gamer at all; I had to do a lot of research for this project". She stated that she constantly gets people saying "you're not a game" hate mail and claims to be one, when she said out loud that she's not a gamer at all.

I'm not complaining. I have no issues with the state of characters in gaming. However, just because the chick in the videos (I've forgotten her name) said she's not a gamer, I lost all respect for whatever points she made.

That's a program of control they sell in this reality. Conditional love. People want to give love to the other so the other will give them love but since they don't give love to themselves they can't actually do it and it all ends with feelings of resentment.
