I imagine the conversation that motivated people being "Oi cunts, come check this **** wit out you will not ****** believe it" then one drunk abbo named merv suggested pushing the train and everyone thought it was a good idea because it would be politically incorrect to disagree with him.

i mean, it was in Adelaide.

What I imagine would happen is they push the top forward and the bottom pinches his leg off.

You have little understanding of the world you dense cunt
User avatar #20 to #18 - deviousluchador ONLINE (08/07/2014) [-]
No? If they push the top, that means the bottom will move the direction of the people pushing and pinch his leg off. Unless, of course, they pushed from the other side.

If the space is big enough for his ******* leg to slip into the gap its big enough for him to pull it back out. I don't really understand this.

That's because you're a stupid ******* kid in highschool

In my experience it goes like this.

1. Leg goes down hole
2. Hole not quite big enough, but the force of your body falling drives your knee through the hole.
3. Knee is now on the other side.
4. Can't generate enough force to pull yourself out and it hurts like a ************ .

Ring on a finger.

Think physics for a second.

A better example is the chinese finger trap.

Think of his leg as the finger, and the hole, both ends of the trap.
If you pull on your finger one way, ie his leg, the action is not possible.

Also, who knows if that lip of metal isn't sharp?

Not sure why I used Miss M... but I do love green skinned girls!

While that sounds like it makes sense I think it may be off in this situation. A chinese finger trap is (usually) a cylindrical, helically wound braid which narrows as its pulled on. The train/platform gap has no such mechanism.

The sharp metal lip does make a lot of sense though. He might have started to pull back up and gotten a serious gash in the leg and been like fuuuuuuuck this. No more pulling!

Gonna have to elaborate more than "think physics"... I'm not a scientist. From my limited scientific mind I would think that if it took (lets say) 100 pounds of force from the weight of his upper body to push him leg past the kneecap into the gap, then 100 pounds of force pulling him up should get him out, no?

Usually when people are unable to get a ring off their finger is because they've had it on for a long time and their finger/knuckles have swollen.
