ok ok, so this isn't relevant to your post at if you're trying to elicit angry reactions you use bait. And it's surrounded by fishing metaphors... is it supposed to be... "trawling"?

I just want people to think about the word before using it. I know the word "trolling" means "to provoke online", but before that, "trolling" simply meant "carefully and systematically search an area for something." or "fish by trailing a baited line along behind a boat."

If I'm not mistaken, "trawling" is with a net whereas "trolling" is with fishing lines.

Of course that is highly relevant to how people "troll" each other on the 'net, but I still always think of the fishing analogy or just generally browsing an area intently when I hear the word "troll". Of course the trolls of Norse legend were pretty much dicks to everyone, too, so I also think of that.

Good thing these kinds of ships were decommissioned in 2005 when the EU passed laws due to the number of dolphins being accidentally fished up.

Problem was it didn't kill the dolphins. More often than not they were captured and sold on the black market

Bitch please, I worked on a boat just like this last summer. Never saw a dolphin, though I did see a few porpoises. The captain would have gone ballistic had we caught one, it's stupid illegal to keep it.
