Trolling captain America.

d' you think the avengers ever play ..
game where they try to push stews

tony casually throws it into a

Nah.... there's not a trophy for "You made cap punch you in the face and leave the avengers"
You'd have to cite the merits of a few specific ideals of the Nazis, or that communism is a great idea.
#35 to #22 - anon (01/06/2016) [-]
"Well the nazis while being a small country like they were, were able to conquer most of europe, if america had stayed out and let them do their business, then maybe sided with them, they could of controlled the world. we might of been able to convince them to not exterminate the jews as well so. also around the time, germany was also able to turn their country around and slowly become a world superpower, so oblivously it would end up helping america more than it would hurt them."
User avatar #23 to #22 - mrwalkerfour (01/06/2016) [-]
okay what about this.

"i think the nazis were pretty decent guys really, the americans should have allied with them"

that would spark him into explaining all the bad stuff about the nazis, why thats wrong, his personal experiences and such.
User avatar #26 to #23 - derpthefifth ONLINE (01/06/2016) [-]
The same Nazis that spawned hydra? I think he's just punch you for not knowing why the Nazis are bad or else not do it because he'd know you're trying to **** with him and it'd ruin the game.
Maybe something more like "You know communism is actually a pretty decent idea, I mean if you're talking about actual communism as outlined by Karl Marx, it's basically perfect" Which would lead him to have to go do research if he didn't already know, it's also a quick way to interject multiple points into an argument which he'd have to counter...
User avatar #28 to #26 - mrwalkerfour (01/06/2016) [-]
hes not the kind of guy to punch you for liking the nazis, hes a peaceful guy. he only resorts to violence when its the only answer.

tony is constantly directly insulting him and telling him hes outdated and even then he refused to hit him in an outmatched fight, he insisted Tony put on his suit and fight. so the idea he'd hit me, a normal human, for lobbying for the Nazis is silly.
sure he'd get angry at me, he'd think of me as a piece of scum but hes not one to use physical force to get his views across. that's more thor, or hulk, and black widow somewhat.

and i think op meant the game was you cant interject with points, you have to say a phrase and see how long a reaction you get. otherwise itd be pretty easy to make the rants ages long rather than just minutes.
User avatar #29 to #28 - derpthefifth ONLINE (01/06/2016) [-]
Oh... You meant you? Well then yeah, I was thinking a member of the avengers making that point but I guess I did say you.
Also that's the beautiful thing about referencing a philosophy or doctrine, if they know what it is you can make a **** ton of points within very few words.
User avatar #30 to #29 - mrwalkerfour (01/06/2016) [-]
i think an anon is angry at me for some reason...

yeah i think if it were an avenger advocating for the nazis, hed probably still not be violent but he'd be way more upset and angry because obviouslly theyre part of his team and being part of his team means to be anti nazis. i reckon he'd stop being friends with them, get suspicious of them. i dont think theyd get a long rant, hed probably just start at them and lose all respect for them. itd be a short sharp conversation

User avatar #31 to #30 - derpthefifth ONLINE (01/06/2016) [-]
Yeah. I just can't see the situation where normal people are having a conversation with captain America, I think it would depend on who said it and if he thought they could take the punch, like Tony wearing the suit would probably get floored for saying some **** like that... Also maybe if he was on a talk show with some ******* neo Nazi, the amount of frustration associated with trying to converse with lineage hate groups is enough to make almost anybody throw a punch.

Think he's referring to FemThor, black Cap, latino Spidey, muslim Ms. Marvel, tons of LGBT characters, etc.
User avatar #36 to #34 - schneidend ONLINE (01/06/2016) [-]
FemThor - Different character. Mjolnir has always turned people who aren't Thor into Thor'd up versions of themselves. It even happened to Deadpool.

Black Cap - Falcon is a longstanding ally of Cap and has been in the comics for decades. It only makes sense for him to take up the mantle if Cap is looking to pass it on.

Latino Spidey - Different universe. Peter Parker is still Spiderman in the main universe.

Muslim Ms. Marvel - Why does it matter? She's a neat character, and Carol Danvers is now CAPTAIN MARVEL. The original got a promotion.

The Marvel universe has always had tons of LGBT characters. Besides, what do you think "mutants" are a metaphor for nowadays?
User avatar #44 to #36 - highkingtorygg (01/06/2016) [-]
but femthor is a **** character (the current femthor, there might have been other ones)

I wouldn't know, honestly. I haven't had the opportunity to read FemThor. The panels I've seen seem fine, though. All the bitching about it is the exact kind of bitching the alleged SJWs do, either way, and that's just stupid.

User avatar #63 to #60 - schneidend ONLINE (01/06/2016) [-]
Well **** , you're right. But, still, it turned him into Thorpool, at least, which was my main point.
User avatar #51 to #36 - metajunky (01/06/2016) [-]
Also mutants were never really meant to symbolize any particular group of people, just oppressed or misunderstood people in general. You can see them as representing civil rights for any people in any era that way
User avatar #52 to #51 - schneidend ONLINE (01/06/2016) [-]
Originally their plight was meant to represent racial discrimination, but with runs like New X-Men it's pretty clear there's a bit more emphasis on LGBT issues. It even makes more sense in that context, people who can't help being born as they are and must hide it from society or suffer persecution rings a bit truer for homosexuals than people of color in my estimation.
User avatar #55 to #52 - metajunky (01/06/2016) [-]
You can say that for Jews too. Opressed people, people made to feel ashamed for who they are, people who are feared, etc. X-Men represent all these kinds of people, not just the homos

Few more things:

FemThor is indeed ****

Kamala is pretty bland and annoying

Miles is fine, but Marvel is indeed replacing Peter with him in the 616 universe last I checked
User avatar #59 to #55 - schneidend ONLINE (01/06/2016) [-]
Seems shaky, given the tone of New X-Men and the design of a lot of its minor characters, as well as the sub-plot of Beast saying he was gay. In newer stuff, you've even got a gay Iceman, and they did that big event where Marvel's premiere homo, Northstar, got married. The premise nowadays is much more aimed at LGBT, and in a few years that will probably need to change once again as tolerance prevails. With religious intolerance on the rise, I'd expect that to be the X-Men franchise' next platform.

Can you post links or pics of FemThor being **** ? Even if she is **** , though, nobody seems to hate her for being **** , just being a woman. It's the same kind of **** SJWs bitch about, just from the opposite end of the spectrum, and it's equally dumb.

Kamala definitely has a different target audience than what I prefer to read, but from what I have seen she seems like a fun character. Links/pics of her being bland and annoying?

Considering they're not pushing for Miles to be movie Spidey, I kinda doubt they'd make him go-to comic book Spidey. In fact, a new run of Parker Spiderman started not too long ago where he and MJ are married and have a kid. How is he being replaced if he's still Spiderman and has a new book out?
User avatar #68 to #59 - metajunky (01/07/2016) [-]
Not shaky. That's always been the appeal if the X-Men, they always represent the mistreated outsiders of society, not just one group in particular

The big problem with Thor was that he had a very good run before FemThor. Then loldiversity and he was booted out for someone who doesn't really exist for more than political reasons. When fans complained that they were doing a beloved character a diservice for no reason, Marvel responded pretty much by labeling them as whiney sexists

i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/t_original/1250831501866273167.jpg

It's harder to find specifically annoying moments with Kamala, but so far she's felt like what an adult thinks a teenager her age acts. All "quirky" and fangirling over the other superheroes. There's been quite a few characters like her in Marvel, but she doesn't really bring anything new to the table other than the fact she's Muslim, which again feels more like another publicity stunt. "Look guys she's Muslim! We're with the times!"

They are most definitely replacing Peter with Miles

I imagine Cap's thoughts on this would be pretty complicated, actually. On the one hand, boom, personal freedoms. On the other, well, his job is to try to minimize people dying and balancing freedom and security.

It's a tough call. But, given he was anti-registration, and trusted people with superpowers and secret identities, he'd be willing to trust people with guns. But, at the same time, he'd probably have seen enough whackos with AKs like Sin-Eater to be okay with a background check and mental health care-related gun policies.
