Right? People who complain about movies that are not sagas for the ages piss me off. Not all movies are Citizen Kane or LOTR. Why can't a movie just be stupid fun for the sake of stupid fun? Battlehsip is a good example. It was an hour and a half of battleships fighting robots and aliens. Whats not to like? It wasn't an epic tale fit for the ages. It was just meant to entertain for a little while, and it did that very well.
That's not really the point. I never expected Transformers to be anything like Citizen Kane or LOTR But that would be pretty ******* sweet, wouldn't it? A man can dream... but just entertainment. That's all I want at the end of the day. I don't want an artful, engaging film or anything like that; especially out of something like Transformers. I can be with a film that mindlessly entertains me for an hour or two. But, I'm sorry, the latest Transformers movie is just **** . Everything about is **** . The story is **** , the camera shots are **** , the acting is **** , the movie is too god damn long, and even the action at points is just boring. The movie is just dull, boring, lifeless, and lazy.
Its one thing to be mindless, I'm ok with that, but its another thing to not put much effort into your mindlessness. But, again, film is subjective. How I see film is different from how you see film. You can like this movie but for me its probably the worst film I've seen this year and I sat through Blended for ***** sake.
lets hope this one focuses more on the "giant robots killing eachother and making 'splosions" and less on the humans who we couldn't give two ***** about.
Hey OP, can I can some PMs on spoilers? I'm a Transformers fan and while the first 3 where enjoyable popcorn flicks I'm debating watching it if the humans somehow manage to kill the entire cast of the first 3 save Prime and Bee. Like I know R bites it and so does LF but other than that....
