Disneyland has had Star Wars attractions and an entire section of the park for it already built for years. When I went there as a little kid they had all the Star Wars stuff, and that was damn near two decades ago.

They did not acquire rights to star wars until just recently, you are extremely mistaken.

Did it again last month in Disneyland Paris, still does its job. However, I think they could remaster the video sequence to still match the movement of the cabin but with better images

They have always had Star Wars stuff
That's why there is no Star Wars themepark

They've had at least two Star Wars themed rides in Tomorrowland since 2000, maybe even longer.

that little eye pops up randomly when i leave comments. its so weird, even if i don't click to have a spoiler, it'll appear like that. its happened a few times already, idk why it happens

They have never had any lands specifically for Star Wars though, they have had Star Wars attractions, but they have all been a part of Tomorrow Land, at least when it comes to the original Disney Land.

I think you are mistaking disney land for disney world. I haven't been for a good 15 years. But last I checked it was mostly wild west and no starwars

Imo they should just buy more land. Makes the ticket prices more reasonable. And if they made a death star hotel? I would much rather stay there than cinderella castle.

that would be ******* awesome

I honestly wish Western movies will make a good comeback in cinema.

But then I realize that Hollywood spews **** from their ass like this asinine piece of **** that just makes a mockery of beloved, heroic westerners from the past. I'm sorry, I just really hate The Lone Ranger 2013. In my eyes, its as bad as The Last Airbender.

Hopefully, if a comeback is made, it won't be cringe worthy **** like this that has no plot.

Wild West "Attractions" I wouldn't classify a field that's seasonally open for bbq and meet n greets as hard hitting attractions. Someone just heard "Big Thunder" and immediately jumped to the roller-coaster.

Look up Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland. Now if that closed for Star Wars Land then ya you've got your comparison.

The person that wrote that article is a ******* douche. Some wild west part. At least bother your ass to do some research. Also if they get rid of the log flume they have there I will be pissed.

Gotta say, Big Thunder Ranch won't be missed to the majority of the Populace.

As for the actual location of Star Wars Land, it's in a spot i wouldn't have chosen.

The Original Plans for a Star Wars Land was to convert most of Tomorrowland into it.
Such as demolishing Autopia and Nemo Submarine Voyage and transforming that land into a Forest Moon of Endor Sppeder Bike Coaster. The Tomorrowland Terrace would be a recreation of the Cantina in episode IV on Mos eisley, the center of the land would feature a life sized Millenium Falcon, and other aesthetic changes to the land to fit a star wars theme.

When the estimated cost of all of those projects was finished, it was decided it'd be more cost effective PLUS allowing a greater Creative freedom to make a whole new land for Star Wars.

All together Star Wars Land will be 14 Acres, Disneyland's largest expansion ever.
There will be 2 attractions and meet and greets with star wars characters and a full functioning Cantina where Disney says you'll be able to try Blue Milk.

The attractions will be a full Walkthrough Millennium Falcon where you'll be able to actually pilot the Falcon through a Space Dogfight.

The Second will be a unique attraction where you'll experience a battle between the First Order and Resistance.

The Main complaint with all of this is what will this mean for Star Tours?
The answer is nothing. It'll stay where it is, despite making more sense for it being in star Wars Land now.
