assholy (01/10/2016) [-] It's a way to parody what they hate "420, smoke weed everyday, 360 noscope, etc." Whatever a stereotypical 12 year old who plays call of duty likes, essentially , but in doing so, have become what they despise.
My dad used to ridicule my aunt's way of hanging up, so whenever she was around he would mimic her by repeating "goodbye" into the phone as he placed it back into the base. He keeps doing it now. It happens, dunno why.

lateday (01/10/2016) [-] I think it becomes a way to exaggerate something, keeping the basis and showing how ridicule something really is. People just keep doing the stuff out of habit. Memes are actually to "fit in". Because we totally get your cool story bro. Similar to how people who like others will imititate their mannerisms, whether they realize or not.
