Number 1: Durge
Honorable Mention
Although he did not quite make it, he deserves something. Dengar was a Corellian bounty hunter operating since at least the days of the Clone Wars. Dengar participated in an operation on Quarzite—during which he served as a member of a syndicate of hunters including Boba Fett, Bossk, and Asajj Ventress—to secure property valuable to Lord Otua Blank of the planet Quarzite.
Dengar remained active through the Galactic Civil War, during which he was one of several bounty hunters hired by Darth Vader to capture Han Solo, captain of the Millennium Falcon. Though Dengar ultimately lost Vader's bounty to his rival/partner Boba Fett, he was later present with Bossk and Fett in Jabba's Palace on Tatooine during Solo's rescue by Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker. Though considered by others to be crude and slovenly, Dengar thought highly of himself, often flirting with females such as Asajj Ventress. His confidence translated into his battle tactics, often taking the fight to the enemy head on with sheer firepower and destruction, which contrasted with the more sleuthy tactics of hunters like Cad Bane and Boba Fett. In addition, he was held in high regard for his excellent track record of hunting down his marks. Dengar wore plated battle armor and a turban to cover his head during his missions, a uniform that became very battered by the time he was summoned to Darth Vader's super star destroyer. His preferred choice of weapon was a blaster rifle, which was supplemented by the use of mini-grenades in close quarters combat. He also equipped himself with smoke grenades, which he used to cover his team's escape after a job for the Hutts went south.

Number 5: IG-88
A droid of the IG-series, IG-88 was a chrome war droid standing at almost two meters in height, who turned to bounty hunting, becoming one of the most feared hunters in the galaxy—in part due to the lingering fear of droids, particularly those capable of battle and assassination, from the Clone Wars, and a chief rival to the notorious Boba Fett. He was also on the crew that Darth Vader hired to track down the Millennium Falcon.

Number 4: Jango Fett
"I'm just a simple man trying to make my way in the universe."
―Jango Fett
Jango Fett was thorough, instinctive, and ruthless when it came to bounty hunting, but he was known to have a soft side for the few people he cared about in life. He was often motivated by money, and as such his loyalty was to the highest bidder. He became so efficient in bounty hunting that even planetary governments were known to hire him. Fett kept himself in top condition, maintaining the habit of training often with his equipment. He was also very intelligent, having prudent tactical skills, and was fluent in Basic, Huttese, and Mando'a. He was also able to read Aurebesh, Mandalorian and used High Galactic on his buy'ce's HUD. Nonetheless, he would always prefer a subtle approach to his hunting, a trait that he would pass on to his son. Fett wore Mandalorian armor in the "shocktrooper" style common during his time, although instead of the more traditional beskar plating, he utilized the less resilient and less expensive durasteel alloy for his armor. Fett was armed with WESTAR-34 blaster pistols, BlasTech Dur-24 wrist laser, Czerka ZX miniature flame projector, and an integrated Velocity-7 dart shooter with Kamino saberdarts, among other kinds. Fett's left gauntlet also had a Kelvarek Consolidated Arms MM9 mini concussion rocket, which utilized computer target tracking. Fett used Type-12A anti-personnel rockets, Type-12B capsules, and 1126 rockets. He also carried a field security overloader, sonic beam weapon, wristband blades, wrist mounted grappling hook, boot spikes, and electromagnetic devices in his gloves, enabling him to attract his guns from a short distance.

Number 3: Cad Bane
Cad Bane was a Duros male bounty hunter from the planet Duro who earned a reputation as the galaxy's best, deadliest, and most fearsome mercenary during the Clone Wars. As a Duros, Cad Bane had red eyes and blue-green skin, standing 1.85 meters tall and weighing eighty-five kilograms. One of the galaxy's most lethal, ruthless, fearsome, and deadly bounty hunters, he earned the reputation of the foremost blaster-for-hire during the Clone Wars, filling the position that fellow mercenary Jango Fett had occupied until his death. Quintessentially cold, cruel, and capable in his line of work, Bane was unscrupulous and had much less moral content than his closest rival, Boba Fett; Bane ignored the morality of his work and often turned upon his own clients unless he was paid. His loyalty was ultimately to credits and therefore to the highest bidder who offered them.A master bounty hunter, Bane saw preparation as the key to any operation's success, being able to quickly assess his opponents and correspondingly equip himself. Even though he could not plan for every outcome, he tried to minimize the need to improvise on the spot by always having a plan ready, devising as many options as possible to ensure that there would always be a profitable way out. Whenever possible, he exploited his opponents' weaknesses, which was most often their overconfidence or their care for each others' well-being. He put much effort into protecting the locations of his hideouts, specifically on Coruscant; he often commandeered civilian airspeeders while operating there to eliminate direct trails to his hideouts. esides being able to speak Galactic Basic Standard, Bane could understand Huttese, though he considered his familiarity with the language to be rather rusty. He was also familiar with Jawaese, the language of his associate Ttekket; his knowledge of multiple languages helped him make a number of contacts in the criminal underworld. Given his formidable reputation, Bane was a highly skilled mercenary. He possessed a stoic tolerance for pain and Jedi mind tricks, the latter of which he was normally—though not always—immune to. A cunning fighter who was skilled in the various forms of the art of combat, Bane was well known for his prowess in combat and was one of the deadliest beings in the galaxy with a blaster. Said to rarely miss a target, he was able to kill targets with precise shots at point-blank range. He was also able to hit moving targets, such as clone troopers during the firefight aboard his frigate at Devaron. Although Ahsoka Tano got the better of him during that engagement by disarming him, he simply used her "victory" as a distraction to electrocute her and take her hostage. He was more confident as a long-range killer than in close-quarter combat, using technology and intellectual skill to take down targets.

Number 2: Boba Fett
"Maybe I'd have grown up a nice guy if a Jedi hadn't cut my dad's head off in front of me!"
―Boba Fett expressing his hatred for the Jedi to Mirta Gev
Boba Fett was a Mandalorian warrior and bounty hunter. He was the only unaltered clone of the famed Jango Fett, created in 32 BBY as unit A0050, one of the first of many Fett replicas designed to become part of the Grand Army of the Republic, and was raised as Jango's son. Jango taught Boba much, training him to become a skilled bounty hunter as was his father-figure before him. Many people, including Darth Vader, considered Fett to be the best bounty hunter in the Galaxy. Fett was aware of that opinion and it emboldened him enough to occasionally converse with the Sith Lord in an irreverent tone that no one besides Emperor Palpatine or Grand Moff Tarkin would dare take with him. Fett was very cunning and witty like his father, but at a much more emphasized level. Throughout the many years of his bounty hunting career, Fett developed a strong sense of justice, moral obligation, and adhered to his own code of honor. He took only certain bounties that agreed with his own beliefs and brutal justice. But to those few, he whole-heartedly devoted all of his magnificent skill should the occasion call for it. This led him to believe in a quick, clean kill. His moral code however, did not prevent him from taking numerous bounties from Imperial clients. In fact, he worked for Darth Vader so often that in some instances, Fett was even referred to as Vader's "right-hand man". He once justified this apparent contradiction to Leia by pointing out that the Rebel Alliance had started the Galactic Civil War, not the Empire, and that the Rebels brought only chaos and strife to galactic society, whereas the Empire created order. Fett was also an expert marksman and had access to considerable weaponry. Despite having this high-tech arsenal, he was not dependent on it. In his search for the Butcher of Montellian Serat, Fett had to capture him without his armor, equipped only with a bow, some arrows, and a crystal knife, due to electronic detecting equipment installed on the Devaronian's compound. In addition to his skills as a marksman, Fett was an extremely adept unarmed combatant. His combat skill, tactical ingenuity, and strength of will even allowed him to engage in personal combat with Darth Vader at one point and survive. (Story of Vader conflict) Story of Boba fighting Darth Vader: Darth Vader hired Fett to capture an Imperial named Abal Karda and, more importantly, the box he would be found carrying. Upon learning what the box contained—directly violating Vader's instructions—Fett contemplated keeping it for himself. Unbeknownst to Boba, Vader had a group of Imperial criminals. He eventually discovered them, killing all of them in a confrontation. Fett tracked Karda all the way to Maryx Minor, where he was hiding among the Ancient Order of Pessimists, and killed him. However, Vader had followed Fett to Maryx Minor and the two engaged in battle over control of the box. Unable to break through the Dark Lord's defense, Fett quickly found himself forced to the edge of a cliff that hung over a molten pit, apparently at Vader's mercy. Not willing to risk damaging the casket, Vader tried to force Fett to relinquish it by turning his mental powers against the bounty hunter, yet Fett's strength of will allowed him to resist the Sith's suggestions long enough to throw himself from the cliff… apparently to his death. Shocked by this turn of events, and horrified at the thought of having lost his prize, Vader peered over the edge only to find Fett's blaster waiting for him. Shooting Vader square in the forehead and knocking the Sith Lord to his back, Fett returned to solid ground and declared himself the victor of their conflict. Vader, protected from the headshot by his helmet, sardonically congratulated the bounty hunter, then promptly turned the Force against him. Stripped of his blaster, forced to his knees and his arms pinned to his side by the Force, Fett looked certain to meet his end, yet—surprising the Sith Lord again—he kicked the box Vader desired over the cliff edge. Infuriated, Vader released his grip on Fett and went for the box, getting a telekinetic hold on it narrowly before it was destroyed. With Vader's back to him, concentration focused on retrieving the casket, Fett weighed up the benefits of taking advantage of this opening and killing the Dark Lord of the Sith. He quickly decided against such a course of action however, believing that, if taken, the Empire would trouble him to no end. He thus fled the scene of the battle, stealing Vader's landspeeder, and left Maryx Minor behind him.

"This is my face."
―Boba Fett to Dengar regarding his helmet
Boba Fett's Mandalorian helmet recorded video and played it back on his command, dispensed water, compensated automatically for low or high light conditions, picked up on minute sounds and amplified them and could connect with the onboard computer of Slave I, assuming the transmission wasn't blocked (by being underground inside the Sarlacc, for example). The helmet at one point also had the capability of sealing to compensate for pressure changes, and holding 5 to 10 minutes of air, though damage may have disabled this feature at some point. The helmet also contained a retractable straw, allowing Fett to drink without removing his helmet. Like most Mandalorian helmets, it had a T-shaped visor. Fett could control weapons, sensors, and his jet pack with verbal commands. His helmet's HUD (heads-up-display) featured information on the surrounding environment as well as a 360-degree field of vision. The HUD's data streams could be controlled by eye movements and blinking. In addition, an advanced penetrating radar allowed his HUD to provide information on nearby rooms, and could be used to scan the HoloNet and connect with databases, allowing him to perform tasks which would normally require a computer terminal, such as searching databases for individuals or even trading on the stock market and buying real estate, from anywhere that was accessible through the HoloNet. The macrobinocular viewplate could be magnified to allow Fett to see great distances, and was equipped with, among other things, an infrared scanner that could be magnified up to 50 times. The infrared scanner magnified light up to 100 times or displayed heat gradations. Fett's Mandalorian armor was originally constructed from duraplast, allowing it to sustain a great deal of damage without degrading. On his left duraplast blast plate a digital life support system readout was visible. His armor also had two shoulder pads which were orange, like his kneepads. The left shoulder pad exhibited the Mandalorian skull logo, while his right chest plate displayed an emblem of unknown origin. However, the symbol was also seen on Jaster Mereel's ship and on the helmet of at least one clone trooper pilot at the battle over Coruscant, during the Clone Wars. Fett's main weapon was a EE-3 carbine rifle, more powerful than a stormtrooper's blaster. It was outfitted with a scope for sniping and a fast draw shoulder sling. It fired in short bursts for more accuracy and power. A later version of the EE-3 had hand grips going lengthwise down the barrel. Fett's right gauntlet had a fibercord whip with a grappling device: a 20-meter-long fibercord whip used to entangle and immobilize a target. It also held retractable vibro-blades and a dart launcher.
Number 1: Durge
"You all move in slow motion to me."
―Durge, to Obi Wan Kenob
Durge was a male Gen'Dai bounty hunter who was active in the galaxy for almost two thousand years. Able to survive several near-death situations due to his Gen'Dai heritage and enhanced battle armor, he fought in several wars and collected a multitude of bounties. Over the centuries, Durge acquired a deep distaste for Mandalorians, and even killed their leader at one point. Durge was an aggressive Gen'Dai in his younger days, and as he grew older, this evolved into a lust for blood. He enjoyed killing, to the point where he considered a period of time well spent only if it had been used for this purpose. His mental health was questionable, likely caused by the large number of near-death situations he experienced, his species' tendency to develop psychosis, as well as undergoing torture by Mandalorians. He despised Mandalorians due to both the torture and the fact that they killed his mentor and friend Jaing. In combat, Durge was a match for even Jedi Knights. His Gen'Dai abilities, coupled with his armor suit, allowed him to hold his own against almost any opponent. Durge's regenerative physique made him difficult to truly kill, and even when unarmed, with both hands chopped off, he presented a major threat to his enemies. Durge was incredibly strong. Once unleashed from his suit, he easily overpowered a squad of clone troopers trying to subdue him and was able to catch a swoop bike mid-flight and wield it as a club. He had no lack of speed either, as he could easily keep pace with skilled Jedi, dodging and blitzing even Obi Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. Despite being hit with nine explosive charges in the face, he managed to keep fighting Anakin Skywalker in their duel above Maramere. Durge had a number of cybernetic implants on his body that allowed him to use his heavy combat armor more efficiently. His own neuro-network worked in tandem with his armor's computer system, and his helmet's targeting system was directly connected to his optic nerves. The armor itself was specifically crafted to increase balance and agility, and was painted with a large symbol that resembled his mentor, Jaing. He wielded an arsenal of powerful weapons; along with a pair of blaster pistols and a rifle, he was equipped with a jetpack and energized bolas. His armor sported machine gun gauntlets which fired flechettes, a wrist-mounted flamethrower, a spiked flail, dart launchers and energy shields capable of blocking lightsaber attacks for a short time. When unrestricted by his armor, he could extend his body parts long enough to strike down far-away opponents, and could even sharpen parts of his body to create a claw-like weapon instantly. Durge was also supplied by the Confederacy with a NovaSword Space Superiority Fighter, which he used for most of the war.
Durge is basically cheating.
