IIRC in the comic the troopers are talking about what an ass vader is and wonder why he's such a dick. That one learns that it's his birthday that day and saw him being somewhat sad and alone (again, IIRC) and so wishes him a happy birthday.
What historybuff said, except the way they found it out was by finding Darth Vader's diary. It's a non-canon comic, part of the amazing Star Wars Tales series. starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Lunch_Break
Hey guys. I've watched the 7 movies. I never really got too into them. I enjoyed watching them but just never took the time to do anything else other then watch the movies a couple times. But now, for some reason I am wanting to actually dig deeper into the star wars universe. I could Google this but I figure some anons could give me better insight. What are some books I could read? Is the clone wars cartoons a part of it? Or just was done separately? With the books, do I just read the books that equal the movies? Or are there more than 6 (7?) Books? A thank you to anyone that can take the time to help me out. If not, sucks to be me I guess.
Clone Wars and Rebels shows are canon and pretty good. Google Darth Vader 2015 and you should find the canon darth vader comics. I'm not sure what else is canon comic material
A lot of people really like the books about the New Republic, which contain all the characters from the movies and the setting there. They're good books, but I've only read one or two books and find myself more interested in the books about what happened before Episode 1. I'd recommend the Darth Bane trilogy, which was where I started.
If you want to get into the Clone Wars story arc, the Republic Commando novel series is a blast to read (though they're no longer considered canon)
Seriously, I can't recommend a better series to delve deeply into one of the most thematic elements of the franchise, the clone troopers.
I was just in a video chat room where everyone made their names starwars related and I chose TR-8R. Well, this was an **** chat and the girl in it had a TR-8R pen. I made the deal that if she stuck it in her pussy I would get my dick out. I ended up doing sick spins with my dick on camera, under the name TR-8R and looking back I have no regrets.
The cool thing in Warhammer 40k, especially in the rpgs like Dark Heresy or even Only War, you can roll a melee combat focused guy and pick up an Arbites Shock Maul. DO IT! ROLL TR8-T0R!
I didn't mean to reply to a different comment with my original comment. So sorry for being annoying with this.
