As I said, she isn't human. And she's held in Arkham for two reasons.

1, she has plant powers which make her extremely dangerous.
2, they think they can change Ivy.

Poison Ivy as a villain really only has 2 goals. Protect nature at all costs, and walk over men. (though this goal is generally secondary, but she loves doing it.)

She's the feminist of the batman universe as being seduced by a male is generally how she ends up the way she is. And she hates men as a result. Using her own powers to seduce and manipulate them for her own benefit.

But her attunment with nature through her powers and made her what is essentially a plant with a human a brain. She cares nothing for humans, only herself and other plants. And all her crimes revolve around that motive. If she's robbing a place, it's to get money to protect plants. If she's killing somebody, it's because that person harms nature. If she's destroying something, it's because that thing is in the way of floral growth. By human standards, she's crazy. But she's a plant.

Arguing that somebody who isn't human is mentally unstable is a lot like arguing gorillas are insane because they don't use forks and spoons. It really doesn't make sense.

Harley Quinn is unstable. She suffers/suffered from an obsession with the joker that turned her into the character she actually is. A murdering psychopath who's only motive is to due crazy things to impress her boyfriend.

2) metahumans above batmans paygrade are sent to stryker.
3) the reason they send ivy to arkham is because he is mentally ill. she thinks she is mother nature.
4) she is metahuman. a subspecies of human. kind of like flash for instance.
5)she isnt "the feminist"(not until tumblr got hold off her that is) she simply worked as an eco terrorist.which involved walking over a LOT of people.

But she isn't insane, for that is to say she is illogical and unreasonable. For a human, that's true, for a plant, that's not. As I said they want to change Ivy, to make her not hate humans.

But as a character who actually speaks to plants, that's a bit different. She can feel the pain plants endure. The agony of the destruction of nature. She is one with the green. And that's why all her goals revolve around that motive.

This isn't an insane human. This is a breathing, thinking plant that people want to change.

And Ivy has hated men and seduced them for her benefit before Tumblr was ever a thing.

she isnt a plant. she is a metahuman. a big difference. and that is what made her insane. her ability to feel and hear what plants are doing drove her nuts. if you want to see a character that actually IS a plant. and has even better connection to the green: then look at swamp thing. he isnt insane, he doesnt go eco terrorist like ivy, and he actually is the "mother nature" of dc.

But again, you're apply the human definition of insanity to somebody who essentially isn't human.

Ivy does things in extremes, yes. And it does essentially make her a villain to humanity.

Somebody who is insane, mentally ill, is somebody who is unreasonable and irrational. And for somebody who speaks to plants, everything she does is kinda within reason.

To her, she's her own hero. Hearing the cries of helpless and defenseless beings that nobody can hear. Connecting to them on a deep level. And nobody else cares to defend them.

Ivy doesn't run around murdering all humans because some do nature harm.
Ivy doesn't run around destroying everything in her path to let seeds take root.

She simply has an agenda of "do whatever i can to help nature" and she goes to great lengths to do so. And since she no longer feels empathy to humans, she really doesn't seem to care if they get hurt.

This isn't "insanity." I don't even think the english dictionary has a word for it.

Am I saying what she's doing is good? No. Obviously not, there's a reason she's a villain.

What I'm saying is that the labels that make a human insane are very different for somebody who is this plant hybrid.

The reason why I say they want to change Ivy, is that she can do a lot of good things.

She's one of humanity's greatest threats, but has potential to be their greatest ally. The issue is that she no longer feels empathy towards humans. True humans. She hates them with a passion, especially males.

But as an ally, she can practically end world hunger over night. Help cure thousands of diseases. And use her powers to solve ecological issues.

It's just that her lack of empathy, this hatred towards humanity is what causes her to be bad.

Trying to save a town on the ********* part of the west coast is the worst thing any human being has done since the creation of the state of Israel. Honestly that part of America is just coffee beans and Seattle. The only good thing to come out of that part of America was Nirvana, and Kurt Kobain still ate a shotgun shell to escape the fact he lived there. Furthermore the entire background, and dialog is layered with the type of facebook tier memes that make me want to rip off my dick while at full mast, and stab my eyes and ears shut with it.

To think that a human being can have such **** taste disgusts me, and fills me with the same level of disappointment as if my son had decided to get a full time career sucking dick, or my daughter dated a black guy. Its games like that, that make me want to drink until I pass out and **** myself.
