Thor in Smite looks pretty badass, although the hammer is a bit to big according to the mythology.

A BIT too big? *****, the hammer was given to him because the handle was made too short by accident because the dwarves dun goofd, so it was useless for crafting purposes.

**nagafever rolled image** "accident" my ass. I don't remember what he did, but it was pretty simple. Loke did it.

by simple i mean he was either spreading rumours or he punched the guy in the gabber while he was forging it

i think they did that because if he was wearing viking armor he would look way too much like odin or tyr (both dont have exactly viking-y armor either)

tyr is nordic.
he is son of odin, he is the lawgiver of the gods, he also a god of war, sharing the role with odin. he sacrifices his arm to fenrir, the son of loki, in order to pacify him and allow him to be bound. all of these are parts of nordic pagan religion.

maybe you mean nuadha airgetlam, who is celtic and shares the trait of a god who lost his hand/arm, or possibly a different form of tyr that i dont know about, as he does go by many names.

but tyr is nordic from almost every account ive ever heard.

Tyr is Germanic in general. Which makes him nordic and scottish. We all had the same gods at some point, southern nations just converted earlier.

it sounds like some odd combination of both scottish and nordic.
its weird cause i can imagine both types of people talking like that.
also, i wouldnt quite call his sword a claymore.

Understandable and each to their own.

For me, there was a perfect mix of tracks (from pure melodic to full on aggression to getting absolutely pumped etc). Adored a lot of the riffs and overall lyrical direction and story telling (Tattered Banners and Bloody Flags has me head banging, fist pumpin in rhythm every time!)

But like I said, each to their own
