They are never gonna CURE common cold in a way that u can never get it again. There is no money in that kinda stuff.

There still mad at Salk for curing Polio

Please sir, do me a solid. Talk to me when you have a degree in immunology.

The common cold will never have a cure because it isn't caused by a single thing. Many things can cause what is labeled as the common cold. You can stop one, or even a butt load of em, but it requires an equal number of immunizations, which isn't worth it to anyone.

Yes, which is why the government regularly supported Salk's antivirus over Sabin's. Makes perfect sense.

For reference, since Sabin's version was a live virus form of antivirus, it could actually cause some cases of polio, and it still solved some. They could have just kept it up for a while. instead they went with Salk's which had no danger of keeping the disease alive. Please at least don't bring the conspiracy nutjob mentality into preventative medicine.

because Salk didn't patent it and made it cost practically nothing compared to what other people would have charged if they patented it

Salk could have problem made millions, instead he left it free so more people could afford it

i wouldve charged the same amount as a loaf of bread...so that i could have my share and noone gets it for free so that they dont feel useless and dont get used to being cared for free...most people could afford a loaf of bread...
