There exists such a thing as physical limitations however. I'm not sure when we're going to hit that, but we'll probably overcome it with a new technology, it just might not take the exact same form as its predecessor

Judging the rate of scientific progression, and the fact that SanDisk made a 4TB SSD, and hoping to make an 8TB on next year www.extremetech.com/computing/181809-sandisks-collosal-4tb-ssd-does-this-mean-ssds-will-soon-provide-more-storage-than-hard-drives , I would say that an SD card with that capacity will be here by 2020, if not closer due to the whole using a human brain as a map for economic storage of data
