80's kid here. They are ******** .
Colecovision? That only sold ~2 million. It came out in '82 so it may have gotten the majority of its sales that year, but it doesn't compare to the 30 million Atari 2600's that were already out. If you were an 80's kid you were still on your 2600.
Pete Rose? Baseball is for your grandfather. Try Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Larry Bird.
Fast Times at Ridgemont High? Compared to Rambo? Raiders of the Lost Ark was probably still outselling Ridgemont.
Olivia Newton John? That's what your mom listened to. Try AC/DC and Van Halen.

Making $60.30 a week in 1982 was actually better than making $130 a week in 2012. After adjusting for inflation between the two years, it comes out to $143.47 a week for 1982 kids to the $130 a week 2012 kids made. I dunno, I thought it was interesting.

I don't see anything wrong with Career aspirations, Business vs businss management, health vs physics, so many people still go for engineering....
Not a huge change considering the economy on part of drivers licenses.

I love how the guy representing 2012 is made to look like a "real thug", but his favourite movie is Twilight.

Real street life you got there.

With inflation, that $60.30 in 1982 is actually worth $148.93 today.
