I don't think this is a fetish thing. Seems like an actual mental health problem.

But to be honest. I work with mentally disabled people for a living and I've seen plenty worse things than this.
Of course it's cringy and disturbing. But, if he's not harming himself or the people around him, let him do as he pleases.

I jut hope the situation with his 7 kids is handled... Abandonment ain't a joke.

That's totally not how a mid-life crisis works though.
Mid-life crisis is when a person reaches ages 45-55 and starts feeling regret and remorse about the way they have lived their life. A person literally wanting to become a kid again is not at all the same.
And really. Mental illnesses come in all shapes and sizes. I can't say what type of condition this is, but it definitely isn't mid-life crisis.

This is not how paraphilic infantilism works. People don't abandon their lives for a fetish.

Thinking a fetish is the only possible way anyone would act like this is just naïve.

Once again. There is no evidence for this being a sexual thing in any way. If you can find anything that actually points to this being his fetish then please enlighten me.

I already told you. It points to him being somehow disturbed or mentally ill. I'd wager it 's some sort of childhood trauma.
But since I have nothing to go on except a short interview clip I can't make a serious statement on it.

I feel like you're assuming it's a sexual thing and basing all your ideas to work with that conclusion. When it should be the other way around.

Why does everyone go for trauma? I mean he's not trans, that much is clear; no transperson would say the things he does. So maybe he's just part of the special snowflake movement?

He mentions things like past suicidal thoughts. And sometimes bad childhood traumas can lead to mental health problems during adulthood. Especially things like childlike behaviour and in extreme cases, wanting to literally be a child again are closely linked to bad childhood trauma.

People are saying it because thyere is evidence to back it up.
As I said. I work with mentally disabled and disturbed people. There is no clear cut simple answer to explain why people act the way they do. But you can't make assumptions and act like they are answers.
