It blown my mind. After that i knew why there's no money in their universe. And how it works. Humans are in some kind of collective. Life of single person doesn't matter. Captain kirks was killed multiple times - he was dead each time, when he was teleported. They ripped him apart - to single atoms. And then, they sent information about his body - to create perfect clone (even with memories abouyt teleportation) in destination place. It exactly, what happend each time, when somebody else was teleported.
