Most people probably know that that fox animatronic is from Five Nights at Freddy's, the most overrated indie game trilogy of 2014-15.
The man carrying the bat, though, is a more obscure reference to a series. He is the main character of the game OFF, an rpg adventure indie game made in 2008. He's known as The Batter.

OFF is a fantastic game. I won't spoil it for you, but it has some fun little puzzles, and an absolutely amazing story. The characters are loveable too.

The game is in French, but it was translated into English. These links should work.

You're right about it being the guy behind the whole series, but that gif is actually from a small fan animation someone posted on youtube called 2 Evil Eyes. Amazing how fans can make a more interesting animation for the franchise then Scott.

I personally always got stuck on Yakuza. Incredibly difficult boss, harder even than the SA-X's bossfight, IMO.
