i was just going off the knife in the picture not a stileto or other specially designed blade chainmail works just as good for normal blades but when ya go specialty all bets are off your ****** even in full plate
well, the point of modern stab-vests is that they're lighter, more comfortable, and more concealable than a ******* chain-mail shirt. by that stellar logic you've displayed there, we obviously don't need AC because hand fans exist, we don't need cars because we can ride horses, we don't need phones because we can just send letters, and we don't need this ****** website because we can go read a book.
hey **** head titanium chainmail or i dunno suck it up and deal some **** from medieval times might be something to look into as a possible source for inovation we remade carriages and turned them into self propelled vehicles called cars, trucks and the like but hey focus on the fact i said chain mail is better focus on that and wallow in your ignorance
hey ******** , learn material science before you clam on about "wallow in your ignorance"
dumb ass ***** sitting here going "WELL, JUST THROW TITANIUM ON IT AND IT'LL AUTOMATICALLY BE STRONGEST" **** outta here
titanium chainmail still isn't good. Even though titanium has an excellent tensile strength, it is extremely expensive for that kind of use, and as a chainmail shirt, would still be heavy and unweildy. IMO the only modern use for chainmail is for divers having shark protection. Legitimate personal protection requires something more subtle, and more ergonomic, I.E. stabvests and light body armor made from fibrous armors such as kevlar.
The company invited the reporter to test out the vests, and he volunteered to test them out. It just so happened that the vest wasn't as good as they said it was, and the knife penetrated a bit. The company immediatly apologized and covered all medical care.. needless to say I don't think the vest will be used much after this incident. Israel does continue to have some of the best technological advancements in the world in the fields of medicine, engineering, and military.
