Im honestly not trying to be an asshole here but this was on facebook and all you did was copy the top comment, when did FJ start taking content from facebook, how far have we fallen.
people often say how it is cancer how tumblr reacts to "funny things" this is a compilation of cancerous replies on funnyjunk implying that we are hypocrites
While it's ******* cold in space, you can't actually feel any cold, or get cold for that matter.
Temperature is dependent on molecule's speed, and transmitting temperature requires one molecule to shake up another one.
There's simply no molecules in space to give temperature to.
1) Sun emits photons and radiation. If it emitted heat in the way your body does, it would be ******* hot in the space between the sun and the earth. It isn't.
2) That **** takes lots of time. I don't assume you would be able to survive that long. What i meant to say that while you'll certainly die in space, freezing is not your concern.
Oh no, you'd die of everything else first but you'd still freeze in a matter of minutes.
Relative to the rest of the universe the space between Earth and the sun is very hot, space is just really big. Our atmosphere also retains a lot of the heat.
I don't think you're entirely wrong, just that you've misinterpreted some of the principles of thermodynamics.
Kind of telling of the attitude of scientists. We're all agreed it would kill you but I can't be the only one that wants to shove something into the vacuum just to see who's right.
But the lack of surrounding molecules causes the molecules in your own body to cease their movement. Heat transfers through radiation. Your body would radiate heat, and not be able to generate enough heat to continue said radiation. You would definitely freeze, and most likely feel cold. (of course your body would have exploded before you could actually feel this)
This subject is actually somewhat debated, since we can't really know what it feels like, since no one has ever experienced this sensation.
