Ok.
But even in Austrailia, 100 cents makes one dollar, right?
So 1,200 cents would be $12, not $60 as the content says.

Its not about being clever its about pointing out an error because this is the internet and on the internet people point out errors

oh?
he paid with 1200 coins not 1200 cents, 1200 cents is 12 dollars
I did not point out the error because psykobear did and i felt like mentioning it for reasons of posterity and I'm feeling chatty this evening

the content was wrong
he paid the ticket using some combination of 1200 nickels and dimes that totaled 60 dollars or 6000 cents

Also, I know. My original comment was pointing out this mistake.

But any combination of nickles and dimes would add up to more than $60.
1,200 nickles is $60, so replacing any of them with dimes would add up to more than $60

i did not notice I was speaking to you and not the other guy... otherwise i would not have bothered with the picture, also did not do the math there but that only raises more questions.
the implication that dimes were used must be an additional mistake

Yeah, the penny is the only existing coin in America.
Just forget about the others.

Sarcastically.
There are nickles, dimes, and quarters too.

Yes, that is really... really obvious.
But I said 1,200 coins.
The fine was $60.00
Sooooooooo, I knid of ******* know that there are more coins than pennies.
OP said 1,200 cents, when 1,200 cents is $12
The fine was $60.
Could you not?

Actually the content is wrong.
It says 1,200 coins were used.
The fine was $60 dollars
1,200 nickles is $60
So either no dimes were used, the fine was more than $60, or more than 1,200 coins were used.
eyke for the mention, maybe an explanation

no, he asked for 1200 coins in nickels and dimes.

dude.
If he got it in nickles AND dimes, it would add up to more than $60
The content also says that the fine was $60.
Since 1,200 nickles is $60, any dimes replacing nickles would increase the amount, thus running it above $60
