rockergamer ONLINE (01/06/2016) [-] with all the gods, science, and magic involved in injustice and the flash, couldn't they just go back in time before joker did the thing?
although i guess that would create a pradox

Last time the Flash went back in time Wonder woman killed a couple kids and then aquaman, so that's probably not a good idea
That's not being more specific, it's just adding on what happened earlier in the movie
She didn't kill Shazam, she made him transform out into the kids and killed Billy.
The way that comics have explained different writers writing the characters differently is that it's simply "another dimension." So we know that there are unlimited dimensions they could pull characters from or stories. The way you gotta picture it is "this is the single dimension that all of this stuff happened to go exactly like this, in another dimension they could just go back in time to fix this so it wouldn't be a problem but in this one they are not able to do that and this is the story that I'm reading."

twinnedorphan (01/06/2016) [-] yeah, but, it would be heavily anti climatic and not very fun to read
time travel without using magic is usually dangerous. flash nearly destroyed the world with it.
and as it goes for mages that can time travel...they change between not realiable to ask for help (mister.e) or just plain out not interested to help (most gods)
not to mention several high ranking characters like the new gods, guardians and whatever booster gold was working for detest the use of time travel to solve small things like this (in a certain perspective..)

its confined to one planet. it doesnt have any chance of destroying the timeline, it isnt threatherning the local galaxies or the multiverse in general.
its pretty small key compared to most of the stuff..i mean for instance of the groups i have listed:
new gods are in a middle of a constant battle fougth through their avatars (aka the guys that superman and such fight, the actual darkseid and the new gods are much, MUCH stronger than what any of the earthlings can fight againts..barring few special mentions like specter)
the guys booster works for guard the entire timeline, and again; this doesnt affect the timeline in general so its a miniscule thing for them
guardians of the universe are the closest thing, but they already lost a huge war againts the earthlings, AND the rest of the guardians consider earth to still be an insignificant speck in the grand scheme of things (tho the greatest of the green lanterns have always come from earth...)
even thou its hard to believe considering the rep that people like superman have outside of comic books; just about everything (barring few special mentions like dr.fate and specter for instance) that happens on earth is pretty insignificant to the real powerhouses of dc verse.

Btw the New Gods aren't avatars, that is actually them. When they use the Boom Tubes to travel it just changes there bodies to attune to that Universe. It can be seen in JL: Darkseid War when DS is killed and some older comics.
nah. they are avatars. the actual new gods are a lot more powerful than what we see. and they hang around outside the multiverse and only interact with the universes with their avatars.
for instance, darkseid in his true form was so powerful that even when he was dying he was destroying the entire multiverse around him.

You're not wrong. That was just in the preboot though. Now he has a different origin story, the only person that is like that is Brainiac. Darkseid does exist outside of their universe but they have travelled to it, like when Batman tricked Darkseid into reviving Damian.
i did mention that. and in the end they destroyed the punitive force sent to subdue superman and his allies. the lanterns still have reserves. but not enough to risk another war againts yellow lantern corps or the justice league.
but yeah...from the groups i have listed. the green lanterns are pretty much low key settings..the guardians themselves are pretty important. but not too important.. i mean they werent even invited to the meeting where the laws of reality were decided....

trigon is a bigger deal. but that was mostly just john's messing him in. and it ended before it even began.
fate is mostly in trouble with the other lords of order and chaos for distrubting the balance, but there shouldnt be any real reason for why the lords would interfere with the war outside of duking it out with fate. specter, he is a complicated character. while its true he is among the top 3 strongest characters in dc continuity (barring ofcourse the creator himself..and elaine..) his strength also hinges greatly on what the said creator allows him to be. and considering he was weak enough to not find fate and the crew, AND to actually be overpowered by mxy. he was clearly not in the voice's favor..so again no need for anybody important to get involved. specially now than specter is gone.
ofcourse the greek gods were selled a little short here. but thats just about it..rest i can come up with some reasonable excuse for why nobody is interfering with the war.
