Dude they're still friends. They just share a different vision on how to do video game shows.
Game Grumps wasn't meant to be something big. It was just something Jon and Arin wanted to do to hang out while doing what they love. Playing video games and making people laugh. When Game Grumps got bigger, Jon couldn't commit to making Game Grumps his full time job. He loves making Jontron videos, and so he wanted to continue with that.
Jon considers himself a comedian while Arin considers himself to just be an internet personality. Two different visions. Danny works as an internet personality, so he fits in a lot better than Jon for a show where two guys sit there and talk about random **** while playing video games.
Jon talked about this a bit at Magfest I believe.

I haven't seen more than one post about it myself, but he did have a point about making Quinn or whoever the target of harassment for something she may have done. Which is a good point, you shouldn't do that if you aren't 100% certain you know they did something like that.
But after that he seemed to think the harassment she was getting, or Anita for that matter, for the whole 'Gamer Gate' thing was actually real... When at least a majority of it is not real at all.

Honestly, after thinking about it slightly more, Aaron hasn't really had a position on the issue. Thinking about his position, it makes sense. The two most important people in his life assuming/hoping are Jon and Suzy. Jon is fairly pro GamerGate and Suzy is definitely against it. By taking a position, he risks losing at least one of the two most important people in his life.

I'd honestly rather Jon replaced him and joined Danny or Ross than just getting back with Arin. But it doesn't really matter a whole lot to me anyway, because I'm just happy that Jon is back to making regular videos and TBFP puts out enough content for me.

Everyone has their own taste in humor and Danny/Arin have a different 'feel' to them than Jon/Arin had. I wouldn't say either is more or less funny than the other, just a different type.
