A male cannot demand to use the women's restroom because he thinks that he is a woman. If that was the norm, think of all the creeper guys that would be able to say that that they identified as women for the simple purpose of getting into the female bathrooms to perv. gender itself is a social construct, your sex is not. the bits that decide wither you're male or female are in every cell of your body from the moment your mother is impregnated. you can't be one thing and identify as another. It simply does not work that way.

Why not let the alcoholic have a few more drinks since you don't see them often? Let the drug addict feel good? The smoker? The suicide wanting depressed being who has no happiness that wants to end it all? "Being happy" doesn't equal good. That's why suicide rates are so high for people who actually do pull this **** . That's why a chunk of them regret doing it despite being in comforting support groups. That's why ******* the new head piece for it, jenner, is rumored to want to go back.

Overeating chocolate and sweets leads to diabetes and obesity, which kills you. Abuse of gambling leads to poverty and debt, which kills you.

the media's sudden silence on jenner, since we've lumped LGBT together so much, saying something against gays or any of them gets you entire silence on a speaking forum or at the very least one kept that contained and not likely to grow, only wilt. Tell me how hard the media hyped about it, but as soon as he said one thing about gays being bad, sudden silence.

Not so much insecurity as conflict between perception and identification. One considers themselves one way yet the way others and often themselves perceive them doesn't match. That conflict causes self doubt and yes insecurity. But it isn't the insecurity isn't what they feed into.

It's not a matter of actual belief, just preference. I mean, you don't have to believe you were born as a unipangender 360 backflip 720 with extra cheese, but if you wanna wear it like a name then go right ahead IMO. I think the root of this problem is disagreement on what "gender" is. Many see it as a kind of identifier, and many see it as what chromosomes you were born with. Maybe the latter is correct for the definition of gender, but then there isn't really a name for the former.

sex is your chromosomes. what you are.

gender are the traits typically shown by either sex, that were used as communication as to compare in social aspects. Inanimate objects sharing the same words as the set in stone sex ones are evidence of this. But despite what you -say- you are, at your core, you are what your biological data is. They will not bury you in a hundred years and see that you got a sex change, they will see your bone structure and name you male or female.

I'm not against that, I just don't know why it matters. Maybe they are stupid, but is it really that much of an inconvenience to let them be stupid.
